Never enough staff working, incredibly slow service and no self checkouts to speed it up.

I don?t usually leave reviews, but I feel compelled to share my recent experience because this isn't the first time I have left this branch feeling disappointed.
I went in to collect a Click & Collect order and buy two items in-store. When I mentioned both at the till, the staff member abruptly said, ?Just wait till I finish this, I can?t do both at the same time.? It wasn?t just the words?it was the tone. It felt dismissive and sharp, almost like ?duh.? As someone who is neurodivergent and naturally quite shy, that kind of interaction really throws me off. I felt flustered and anxious, and just wanted to leave quickly.
When I got home, I excitedly opened the box?only to realise I?d been given the wrong order entirely. I hadn't even noticed the name on the label at the till, and I now realise it?s probably because I felt so rushed and uncomfortable.
This isn?t the first time I?ve felt disheartened at this store. On a previous visit, I checked online and saw a product listed as in stock. They tend not to answer the phone, so I decised to visit the store. When I couldn?t find it on the shelf, I asked if someone could check their stock inventory online or in the back. I was told, ?If it isn?t on the shelf, it?s gone,? and when I mentioned that the website said it was available, the response was simply, ?Yeah, don?t trust what it says online.? The store wasn?t even particularly busy, which made the unwillingness to help feel even worse.
I?m not someone who expects over-the-top service?just basic kindness and support when needed. Sadly, I don't feel I experience that at this branch.
I hope this feedback encourages a little reflection, because this experience left me anxious, disappointed, and reluctant to shop at Boots.

I just came out of Boots purley way store. Think I need to warn people there is no air conditioning and there are barely any staff. No staff at the pharmacy to advise on medicines apart from the actual pharmacists who are making them and too busy for customers and one staff member on the main tills. She was lovely thus my 2 stars but there was a huge queue in the heat and no sign of any other staff. They're clearly trying to cut back and save money.

Great shop friendly staff lots and lots of interesting products and excellent offers
Very busy at the weekend sat and especially Sunday better to visit during the week.Free parking for as long as you want without having to buy anything or put your car reg in just park and shop.
if you need the loo dunelm has a cafe with a toilet a few shops down from Boots and the coffee is great and well priced
Bear in mind if you need the pharmacy they are open 9-5 mon - Fri
10-6 sat
NOT open on a Sunday
Disregard what they say on other websites about opening times the above are the pharmacy opening times
The rest of the shop is 9-8 mon-Fri 9-7 sat 11-5 sun

Just been into your store. Couldn?t find what I was looking for as not been here before. Walked round a few times but still had no luck. Approached a member of staff for help & he ignored me so I thought perhaps he didn?t hear me. I politely asked again & was told he was serving someone in a very abrupt manner. I apologised as I didn?t see anyone with him so wasn?t aware. He stated I was dumb & and walked away. I?ll be honest I stood there in shock for a moment. Then left deciding to go elsewhere. Another member of staff witnessed this & just turned on her heel & walked in the other direction. The shop was pretty empty so I?m guessing your staff just can?t be bothered & customers are a hindrance. I will be taking this to head office. Just to add this member of staff was the store manager so speaks well for the company on the whole

Pharmacy - utterly useless, doesn?t open late or on Sundays (in retail park). Always need days to get a simple prescription together (even emergency meds) and the young girl is rude, lies and doesn?t even look at customers when talking to them. Unfortunately it?s the only accessible location for my repeat but they make it much harder than it needs to be. Bad representation of boots - do better.

I would give this store zero stars, rude staff following me around the store, while I?m looking for products as shelf?s messy and empty in some shelf?s. No one on the tills, rude staff member checking my bag before I have even gone to the tills, disgusting behaviour from a long time customer, why don?t you stock the shelf?s instead of following customers around, I will never return to this awful store.
