I wanted to open an account. but the woman turned out to be angry. Everything was in order with my documents, but on principle he did not want to open an account for me. She says: Why do you need a bill? Me: To use and store your money. She: Do you have a lot of money??.. What kind of Nazism is this, that if a person is not white, then he must be a beggar or something? first of all, she shouldn?t have cared about my condition. Secondly, I am sure that I have more money than her.

I see a lot of bad reviews for here but I?ve always been in & out in no time with no delays. Although, I must say, their call centre is very much a different story.

The worst bank branch ever.1. Two people behind a counter and 3 running with ipads asking queuing customers if they need help. Yes, we do, but that can be sorted out when you jump over the counter only2. To withdraw a large sum of money e.g. 5k you need to book an appointment loooool and usually it is ready in a few days.3. It says opening hours 9.30 to 3.30 but actually counter is open until 3.00!

I ordered euros to be collected on a certain date. Got to the bank and the counter was closed at 14.30 so was unable to collect the money. I told them to cancel the order. Two months later, multiple calls to Barclays and the money still has not been credited to my account. Appalling service.

Absolutely terrible for business accounts. My mother banked with them for 20 years and they let her down terribly. Do not bank with them. They also invest in horrific organisations..

Waiting for 30 just to "prove my identity" after many years with the bank Not only will any normal place process documents online now, but the branch is super slow. (while of course telling me, we will process you in a minute)

Whoever is in charge needs to sort this place out. Massively under staffed resulting in queues, stressed customers and therefore a stressed workforce. I feel sorry for the staff cause they are doing their best but their best isn?t enough. The opening hours are so stupid as well, cash desk closes at 2:30pm? What a joke! Avoid this place whenever possible, you?ll only waste your time.

I was disappointed to learn that Barclays bank are the biggest funders of fossil fuels in Europe. As stated by the head of the UN, the fossil fuel industry is incompatible with our survival. I shall be switching to another bank ASAP to try to help our planet survive.

The level of service here reaches a whole new low for modern in-person banking. Understaffed, unable to solve queries and just a waste of time even attempting to get anything done there

Over an hour and a half wait, only one cashier available for a queue of 20 people. Not enough staff for the amount of customers. They brush you off to ?go do it online?. It?s part of a bigger operational problem. Rude manager. I will be taking my savings and business banking somewhere else.

Very disappointed with management at crouch end branch. Very bad communication with customers.As a business we been dealing with Barclay for many years. I know there are some changes so before i went to visit barclays this morning i checked the website for any updates. Looks business as usual. I went in to pay some money to our business account. Walked in and find out that the system is down and there is no way i can pay or withdraw any money. I was very upset with the luck of communication. No one knew when the system my be up and running? i was told maybe next week one day!!I wonder what is going on? if there is a problem with the system why no information is on the website? or why customers can not receive a notification?? Please update you website.

Excellent response by Barclays staff at Crouch End who raised a Dispute over a major energy company deducting payments twice from my account and then the company claimed they had not received payment. The payments had clearly been taken from my account and Barclays organised refund by the following day. Yes there was a 40 minute wait to see someone, but worth it.
