Sorry to say I had a disappointing experience couple of weeks ago . Efficiently organised by lady on phone for collection furniture . The man arrived promptly and said no to all furniture it was scratched marked etc . I explained these are vintage pieces lasted 50 years plus and Avalon Yatton goes on eBay . These piece popular with upcyclers . Another smaller charity would have taken them for their enterprise but does not have van. I am carer of a family member who has heart failure . I understand you may not want these vintage furniture wood pieces. I just found the whole experience a bit disappointing and disconnected . I support British heart foundation as someone who lives with daily of caring for someone with heart failure but sadly would not use this service again.

Very happy with my collection. They just need a tweak on their processes, as the first time they made an error and missed it. But on the reschedule date two friendly and polite chaps visited, they'd also phoned more than once to keep me posted on their progress. It was hassle-free and I was able to add extra items after the original booking. Great to know my items might reach some people who need them.

I went in today to British Heart Foundation and it was amazing! This was my first time going to BHF and the staff was welcoming and working hard. :)

Sadly I am jointing the list of those unsatisfied with the collection. It was organised promptly and by a friendly lady on the phone. However, when the 2 men arrived they seemed like they just wanted to find a reason not to have to carry the item downstairs. They first questioned the item type being different to what the paperwork said and then found the shelves and draw not to be to their standard - so off they were! I was speechless. It?s a beautiful real wood wardrobe that is not unsafe and is a shame not to be used for donations to BHF!

I booked a collection - specified exactly what was to be taken via online form. When they arrived, the rude drivers (and manager via phone) told me they ?couldn?t take any boxes or bags - only furniture?. No apology, just ?we?re full?. They gave me a collection receipt that specified ?8 boxes, 13 bags? were expected. I?d carried the lot to the doorstep ready for them. Even when they phoned to say they were on their way they didn?t let me know these could no longer be taken. Other charity shops thank you warmly for your donations. What?s going on with BHF? It?s very disappointing.

The collection driver Galin was rude and aggressive towards my frail 87 year old mother (Cricklewood NW2 London branch). He attempted to push past her at the door when she refused entry due to his bad attitude. He demanded that the bed had to be dismantled but BHF never told us this in advance. When I attended the store to confront this shameful bully he lied and said he was not rude. I lodged an official complaint. Not acceptable, shocking service. You would think they would show some level of respect and courtesy for donateditems which they are making a profit from. They never answer the phone and think they are doing us a big favour. Would rather give the bed to a genuine and GRATEFUL person who genuinely needs it. Will never donate to them AGAIN!!

Everyone here was so nice and helpful when I visited. Lots of furnitures to choose from but you have to decide quickly coz they have a lot of customers and the items gets sold fast.

Booked a collection through a helpful guy. Showed him photos of furniture and gave him measurements. Was told collection would be between 8-12. No one arrived so rang and got call centre who said it would come by 2pm. Visited Cricklewood and a rude woman shouted that they would be there before 2pm. Guys arrived at 1.36pm and refused book shelves which we had put outside. That was fair enough. Then they refused to carry the light wooden bedframe because they said it would take too long to dismantle. One guy was prepared to and asked me for screwdriver, but guy in charge said no and left. So I had wasted two visits to the shop and 8am to 1.45pm waiting in for drivers to collect. I won't bother again.

The store manager Lina was very helpful and friendly. She managed to sort out my delivery without any problem. Thank you, Lina, for your help.Victoria

Don?t bother contacting them for donation. Bad attitude collection men looking for excuses to refuse carrying heavy or large items.
