Had a sausage sandwich to take away. The sausages were rock hard. Tasted like they were cooked a few days before and heated up. Cheap sausages too, no taste.

DD's Cafe, Coulsdon, one of the few Chinese run Greasy Spoons.
A long-standing establishment that was once a tea house, caught my attention due to its Chinese ownership hints on Google and its eclectic menu featuring udon alongside traditional breakfast items.
[To date, I have only dined in four Chinese run spoons in London].
The cafe which is in a converted house added to its charm with the dining area in a living room.
Overall, the food was how it was expected so it delivered.
The liver and bacon is the best in town!
Definitely will be returning because the owners are really friendly and happy to see you anytime.

I always used another cafe, but only noticed this place recently. Had it for the first time today, and I?ll be coming back from now on! Food was amazing! I?ve been missing out all this time!!

Hi there, I'm posting today to recommend DD's Cafe based on the Chipstead Valley Road, Coulsdon.
I am eating here 4 or 5 days a week (lunchtimes), the food is very tasty, and the Cottage Pie is to die for, and very reasonably priced.
The young couple who run the establishment, are personable, run a clean, friendly cafe....a little gem.

I like small businesses and use them a lot. I met Steve ( actual name is Sean but everyone e calls him Steve) the owner and his wife Chi (Clare) about 11 years ago. Regularly stop for a breakfast and cup of tea. I like tge little homely touches. I have brought in customers many times for them but not left a review as yet. I always go for the British menu but Sean does cook Chinese to. You will understand better when you get there. EASY, FRIENDLY AND ACCOMMODATING. If coming by car parking in Coulsdon a huge problem now as they built on the biggest one just around thr corner from DD cafe.
Parking: Council sold up largest car park to a developer it caused lots of problems to the small businesses and cafe/ restaurants. Aldi car park is always over subscribed so just don't expect parking easily. This couple is more family orientated and although basic seating it's comfortable compared to others in the town.
