A* Tapi Clapham carpet sales, quality and fitting. Mahmoud kindly came around and gave me a quote on Bank Holiday Monday. He worked with my budget to provide a 100% wool carpet for my staircase. I chose the affordable seville range to replace my 10 year old John Lewis loop alabaster carpet which was no longer made.
I paid the full balance for the carpet, adhesive, disposal, fitter referral fee, extra staircase fee at the site visit and was told how much to pay the carpet fitter directly in cash on the day.
I got an email on the same day as the site visit with the cost breakdown and 3 days later got an email that the carpet had arrived to the Clapham store. I rang Ami in the store and confirmed the fitter for the following Monday, ie 7 days after the site visit.
Tapi carpet fitters Ravinder and Kulvinder arrived Monday punctually at lunchtime and completed the removal and staircase carpet fitting in 2 hours. They worked fast and very diligently. The quality of the fitting was superb and the price of fitting was extremely reasonable. They cleaned up after themselves and were very polite.

Lady in the store told us fitting was included and didn?t give us a quote until we?d paid a deposit. Fitting was the £630
Tapi sent fitters that couldn?t fit both laminate and carpet so I had to cancel meetings to sort it out

The ordered too much laminate, despite doing the measuring themselves, and refused to refund it

Can't recommend unfortunately, as fitters caused damage to the room and made off with the sizeable offcuts which were to be used elsewhere in the house.
Really disappointed as have used the previous owner (Carpetright) a lot in the past with no complaints at all - always really helpful, and great customer service finding a resolution to any problems. Not the case now Tapi have taken over.
Showroom experience good and helpful, price competitive. Problem was in the fitting... damage caused to the newly painted walls when moving furniture, chunks taken off newly painted skirtings when removing old carpet, and wardrobe door broken off. All very frustrating as flooring is always the last thing to go down so otherwise room was finished - this has created work, and was due to rough handling so totally unnecessary.
In addition we had agreed to keep the offcuts (sizeable, about 2x3m so very useful) for use as a rug in a different room which was suggested in store. However the fitters made off with it and when I followed up refused to return.
The Tapi team was glib and flippant in response to my complain and has refused to take any responsibility for any damage caused, saying the contract with the fitter is nothing to do with them, and refused to make good or offer any remediation. They suggested we go through the ombudsman if unhappy, which reluctantly we now have to do.
Save yourself the hassle and buy elsewhere from a company who cares about a job well done and their customers!

Tapi Clapham didn?t correctly measure out hallway so left us short carpet.
Carpet fitters were efficient and quick but spilt glue on multiple steps so needed replaced.
