I recently tried to book an eye test appointment at Boots Opticians in Clapham, and unfortunately encountered some frustrating issues with their booking system. It seems like they don't have a good online-to-store connection, so my appointment wasn't recognized when I arrived. I had no calls or emails alerting me to this beforehand. Elena the in-store assistant did her best to handle the situation but IT systems seems to be working against her.To make matters worse, even though I'd provided all my information online, the store staff asked for it all over again. This seems like a broken system that really needs to be updated.I'm hopeful they can improve this because my rescheduled appointment is coming up.

Assistant was friendly, upbeat and kind. I was seen immediately and the optician was thorough, efficient and professional. She gave good feedback and made eye contact the whole time. When I came to choose my frames assistant was helpful and made good suggestions. Was really happy with my visit.

Worth 0 stars. What is the point having a phone number on your site when it doesn?t work? Called so many times and no one picks up, there?s nowhere to leave a message and nowhere gives an email. You have to literally go into the store to speak to them it?s ridiculous. They have replaced my glasses with the incorrect lenses and now there?s no way to reach them, they?re a joke

Useless in answering the phone I am in hospital trying to get hold of this opticians wow are short staffed or you deaf it would be nice if you could answer the phone this is like this on a regular basis as I am kinda getting fed up with it all now something needs to be done about this issues at this opticians

I had an eye problem (flashing light and black line/floater), booked appointment with central booking service, they said I needed eye test and managed to get one same day at Clapham. Arrived early and was asked to do form with assistant as not my branch, I told them I was on contact lens scheme. They talked to optician, but she said I wasn't due a test and so she wouldn't do it, despite booked appointment and arriving early. After the assistant went back and forth 5 times asking questions to optician, I asked to speak with her, but she refused via the assistant and said I needed to get a Mecs test and could try specsavers as they have more appointments. I just wanted reassurance as I have a family history of degenerative eye issues and detached retinas. After 25 minutes I was told they could do nothing and I should leave. Understandably I was very annoyed with this level of service. I just wanted to see a qualified person and get reassurance that it wasn't an emergency. They said (via assistant) that if it got worse I should go to A&E! Not great customer service, I said I would pay for extra test if it wasn't covered under my scheme.

Everyone was very helpful and listen to the issue I had. The lady that took the initial appointment was great as she managed to call me back as soon an appointment was cancelled. The optician did a lot of controls and even wrote a referral letter for my GP. This was really an amazing experience, thanks all
