Do you want to be automatically assumed as a criminal and create unnecessary paper waste in the process?Come to Sainsbury's Chiswick where you now need to scan your receipt to exit a new self checkout barrier.Entirely pointless as anyone wanting to get past this barrier will just never enter the self-checkout area and leave directly through the main door instead.Well done Sainsbury's! You've just annoyed 99.9% of your otherwise happy customers.

Run of the mill supermarket that could be in any town or county. Popped in for a quick sandwich purchase. Could i find them?? Not a chance, damn things alluded me. Why are they not just inside the main entrance, like every other supermarket? I actually gave up looking and skipped lunch. Inadvertently gave myself more stomach room for a nicer meal later that evening.

I like the opening hours, the range of products is quite good and I was satisfied with the products I bought. A negative was the rude and selfish behaviour of a customer in the self-service checkout area.

Small but usually well stocked I terns Argos counter. Parking works by getting ticket on way in & validating it at the checkout, but sometimes barrier is open, and occasionally blocked by drivers who did not validate.

Excellent store with great variety of products from various parts of the world.The store has big free parking (up to 1.5h) and customer toilets.Great nectar prices and always lots of attractive temporary offers.Crowded at times, but plenty of self-service tills and the wait is never too long.

Absolute disgrace when it comes to customer service. If you have a choice, spend your money elsewhere. The ques are so long it makes you leave your basket and walk away. Every time you come there you can feel how little customer satisfaction means to the chain.

Something has changed for the worse in this store!ALL self service shoppers MUST now scan their receipt barcode to exit!I have 2 comments on this:-1) does Sainsbury?s think we?re all thieves now?2) even if 1) were true, this does nothing to reduce theft as there is no correlation of items in the shoppers basket and repeat thieves don?t generally use the checkout!Also yellow reduction sticker shenanigans, save 1p ????

This very large store has recently increased the number of self checkout machines - it's hard to imagine even less tills with an operator but they've achieved it. He's the gem though - they now LOCK YOU IN to the self service area and you can't get out until you scan your receipt on the gate. LOCKED IN!

In general a good store with more than enough choice. Biggest problem is staff shortage at the check out. Today I waited 40 min with a full trolley as only 2 tills were open. (Saturday afternoon!!!) Result? All the frozen products melted and defrosted. Every customer was complaining. Manager wake up!! Hire more staff.

I see even more tills have been cut to make more space for self-service. This is a disgraceful way to treat staff and customers. Sainsbury's should be ashamed of themselves!

Parking was easy, you get half hour free and I think a bit longer if you get your ticket verified that you shopped in sainsbury, bought a hot cooked chicken for my lunch . Looked like a nice shop to get your groceries from

They put out 2 products in a basket, very similar looking but only 1 price sticker. The price of the unmarked product is higher than any price sticker visible and comes as a surprise at checkout. Staff refused to sell for the advertised price, which is illegal. If a product is mistakenly or misleadingly priced, it's against retail law to charge a surprise, higher amount at checkout.Basket abandoned, will shop elsewhere in future. I don't tolerate illegal practices.
