This pub is vastly better in terms of decor now it's been refurbished. I worked here a long time ago and I can see that upstairs in particular is much improved now.Food is great value for money and staff are great, enthusiastic, efficient, making effort to decorate the pub and dress in fancy dress for special occasions.Although most people are decent in here there are however some, particularly the hardcore regular daytime drinkers, who can be rude and anti social. Sometimes people speak out of turn, saying provocative things. Sometimes they think you can't hear and for want of a better phrase, slag off your appearance for their own amusement. There is also an anti social element coming from the men outside smoking who , for example, swear at people on the street. Whether they think this is funny I don't know. I just think it's really offensive and I feel sorry for some people eg addicts and mentally ill people who are easy targets for them.I come in here every so often. I also walk past and know people who visit a lot so I know what goes on.Vegetarian options: I'm vegetarian and I'm always pleased with your options and that you use free range eggs, at least that's what your staff said. :)

When we arrived the table was not clean, my husband had to go and get a towel and clean the table , the food took forever to come, and when it eventually did come, it was cold & looked like the naan bread had been bitten ,staff was not pleasant, won?t be returning.

Probably the worst 'spoons'? Disabled toilet messy and not had a clean all day according to their chart. I went in about 9pm and no one had made a entry to say they had visited. Otherwise overcooked food. V. ? service, noisy and claustrobic.

We love it here. The food is great, great choice of drinks now with the cider on tap lovely! Atmosphere I mean its nice to see the older people there's no music but it's a nice pub to catch up with friends and actually have a conversation. The toilets have been redone they are so much better. They're even alright with children.Kid-friendliness: As long as your children are not running around they're happy to have them in there.

Originally decorated 'Spoons local boozer with southbound bus stop outside. Relaxed atmosphere, with no music (which I prefer). The only drawback was that the ground floor lavatory tended to prevent the user from exiting (i.e. once locking it from the inside you couldn't get out). I never used it, but when walking down the stairs from the gentleman's, I could see the consternation etched on people's faces.

Its a cheap weatherspoons pretty much sums it up. The food is always decent and the staff courteous but the pub itself needs a redecoration and new carpet, and will one of the staff please buy some shake and vac. A complete new layout would be preferable. And as always with a weatherspoons pub the lavatories are in the next county.

£2.26 for a perfect pint of Abbots Ale is outstanding in outer London. Then you have the excellent breakfast menu, superb value for money. Efficient and super quick service, ok it was just after 11am. Yes there might be the odd customer sharing your space, making the most of the pay once for tea/coffee and stay all day and see Wetherspoons as a community centre, but why not? You don?t even have to get off your arse to order your next drink; if you use the app, and why wouldn?t you; free Wifi!

Well. This is very much a standard original design spoons with the blue sign and the gold curlicue writing. The staff were lovely and friendly. The breakfast was as good as ever and the Guinness was excellent. There are a few tables and chairs out the front.

If you ever feel like a waste of space and worthless, go to the Ford. Not only is the beer cheap, but you will be surrounded by people who should be on Jeremy Kyle?s show and you will feel like a superstar in comparison

The food is good the service is very good. The pub building inside is in a very bad way very well worn and toilets are clean ish but in very bad way. But there is signs at the bar saying the pub will be getting a full refurbishment. Will be nice to see it after that and how it is

This whole place needs to be fumigated immediately. It smells of sick, pop and is coated in suspicious stains on almost all chairs and every patch of carpet. The toilets are disgusting as they clearly have not been cleaned in days and the menu isn?t that cheap anymore as well. I warn you to avoid this place like the plague. If you are looking for a cheap meal your better going to the harvester. I certainly will not be coming back here again.Kid-friendliness: The place is extremely rough and unsanitary for children.Parking: There is no car park and most of the surrounding areas are permit only.

The building was once a furniture shop so is deep rather than wide so slightly dark. Other than, good staff and all the other advantages of any other Wetherspoons ie very reasonably priced food and drink!

Having revisited this pub several times since Julia has become the General Manager I whole hearted admit this pub is fantastic to drink in. Julia has created a welcoming, compassionate and amazing team that make sure be it food or drink the customer is taken care of
