After reading some poor reviews was a bit apprehensive about eating here but actually it is to be expected for a theme park restaurant. Food was good. Other posts mention prices being high but pretty standard for South East/London prices. 2 adults and 2 kids, 4 beers and 2 soft drinks, and a dessert came to less than £90. Pretty average where we come from. Service was good too.

Zoofari Grill has been a real disappointment on multiple visits. For the prices they charge, you expect a decent standard ? but the food has been so inconsistent it?s almost a gamble. Sometimes it?s just about okay, but far too often it?s been a complete disaster.
We?ve had overcooked dishes, bland flavours, and meals that feel like they?ve been thrown together without much care. It?s frustrating because the setting is lovely, and being part of the Chessington Safari Hotel, it should be a highlight of the stay. Instead, it?s become the part we dread.
When you?re paying premium prices, you should get quality and consistency, and Zoofari Grill just doesn?t deliver. Such a shame, because with a bit of effort in the kitchen, it could be amazing.

Great option at an overpriced restaurant. This combo comes with onion rings, Korean cauliflower bits, pork belly bits, chicken wings, squid bits and coleslaw. I would massively recommend this. It's great value for money (based off the over priced menu lol). I wouldn't recommend the nacho sharer because of the salsa. Maybe ask for it on the side.

We had a table booked for 6pm, arrived at just gone 10 to 6. The woman at the counter ignored us the entire time we stood there while she tapped on the screen before acknowledging us. She was very lackluster as she seated us and told us someone would be along to serve us. Sat at the table I noticed it hadn't been wiped down properly as there were crumbs and salt around the sauce stand and at the edge of the table. Watching one of the staff, I noticed how they easily missed this when cleaning down another table. I could see the ring of condensation from the jug that had been sat at the table, after he had already put his spray and cloth away. Around 15 minutes later someone came to take our order, we asked for a jug of water (as the price for a large coke was £5 so you could imagine the alcohol) and our food, (Wayama burger and Korean sesame chicken strips). It was 14 minutes before I had to ask the girl where our water was, and the food came out between 10 to 15 minutes after that. The KSCS were flavourful but could have been hotter (in temperature) and the coleslaw was watery (assuming it was the bottom of the tub). The burger was underwhelming for £20 it was just a cheeseburger with a large tomato some lettuce, fresh red onions, and a tiny pickle on a skewer, (it was a slice of proper cheddar not fake cheese ?). It could have been cheaper, or some fancy gazelle meat or something. The skin on fries were the best part of the meal, as they were the hottest thing on both plates. As you can see on the takeaway menu the burger is called the Wayama Cheeseburger. And it must be smaller or something because it's only £1 to add the bacon instead of the £1.50 you pay in restaurant.
Though slow the staff were friendly and smiling. It did however look like a badly disorganised front of house.
Staff 3/5
Food 3.5/5
Atmosphere 2/5 (can't expect much in a hotel restaurant I guess)
Prices 0.5/5 (I know they need to make money somewhere but beyond a rip-off will hopefully add a drinks menu if I get one)

Booked a table advised restaurant my son has autism so need a quieter table. Also asked for one overlooking reserve if possible. Turned up told no tables for 2 overlooking reserve then told have to sit in the busier end. Explained about my son to be told it is not busy. 10 mins after sitting down large group with young kids came in sat behind us. Then tables already very close where we were they sat a two beside us with a toddler and gave them an extra chair right up by my son. Then had constant trail of people the other side going to the bar right by him.
20 mins later no one spoken to us to take an order had to go to bar and ask for someone to serve us as my son getting stressed. Turned around tables in after us were being served. Finally ordered another 30 min wait by which time my son so stressed would not eat due to noise and how busy it was around us. He left entire meal and had to leave majority of mine to take him back to room. Another 15 mins to get bill. Spoke to manager no apology for delay, where we sat told well we do not have quiet tables and we did not know about your son needing a quiet table. Then told me delays as so busy. Then despite clearly seeing my son not touched his meal no offer to at least deduct it. Got back to room to see they do takeaway. Not even an offer of would you like us to give you a box for him to take it to room. Really looking forward now to breakfast and trying to get him back in there alreafy stresed. Cost of meal £60.00.

The chicken skewers were pretty good, tasted nice and cooked well, a good salad and decent bread. The ribs were also pretty tasty so quite happy with the quality of the food plus the portion sizes are generous.
The only negative would be the price of the food and drink which is a little steep.
Lots of staff who were all friendly and accommodating.
The best thing about this restaurant is the surroundings. A lovely, clean space with comfortable seating and a beautiful view of the safari area.
Overall a pleasant experience.

Worst experience ever. Never been to a restaurant where they give you a discount for their mistake and then take the discount back.
Very disappointed, if I could give them a negative star I would.

Stayed at the hotel Sunday night and ate at the zafari restaurant service was brilliant, friendly staff, my son dropped his drink by accident and without even asking a kind man came and brought us another, what a very sweet gesture as he didn?t have to, it?s the little things that make a difference sadly I didn?t get a name for this staff member. I hope he realises how much we appreciated it.

Extremely over priced for what you get served. Kids meals underwhelming. Salmon dish alright just not worth the money!
Korean chickens strips flavour was over powering.
Service was slow.
Wouldn?t return.

If you like to pay WAY too much for convenience food, this is the right place for you. 3 minutes after ordering, the food was on the table. Interesting, right? I can buy the same quality in the supermarket and make it in my own microwave ... to be honest, we had the same experience in other food outlets in the other UK Merlin Parks such as Alton Towers. Aramark is very bad ...
The next time we will order some Domino's pizza or something elsewhere.

We stayed at the hotel over night as we had a second day free pass.
This is our second time at the hotel & restaurant.
The food is overpriced £3.65 for a Capri Sun, I won?t go into too much detail BUT the reason I have given 5 stars for Service is because Ruby went above and beyond for me and my family at dinner.
Ruby was extremely friendly and checking everything was okay with our meal (the food is basic and over priced) BUT Ruby was great! I really hope she?s get recognised for her hard work and excellent customer service!
Thanks Ruby for looking after us
