We worked with Makro, Bookers for years but in the last 3 years is the delivery service is really getting worst and worst. We have 3 restaurants and 3 deliveries per week but there is no one single week that we don't experience an issue. From missing items to receive other restaurant orders. The situation is getting really bad. The manager is available at times but the situation is not changing, for this reason we have decided to write a 1 star review. I don't usually write anything but now i had enough from this company. Yes I am looking to change them.

Transit van parked in disabled bay not displaying a blue badge shame you think disabled ppl no longer exist security to busy standing about chatting to other staff to be bothered. Makro stepped up and DO care thanks Makro

I have been buying from bookers since 2014. After the branch closure my account was transferred to this branch. Delivery never arrives on time. This week delivery didn't come at all. From receptionist to the management team all give you false hope, basically they all lie to get away from the situation. Pathetic branch and staff.

Really rude staff, disappointing to see how business customers are treated at the counter!!! I used go twice a week to shop there - spending £1,000 -using the self check out to save time and then when you ready for checking out they are saying we must do a full check up? taking the entire shopping to make sure you don?t rob them ??and to point out that they don?t t even have a proper space or table - they have a Broken dirty plastic portable table that you?re wondering if that?s going to break at any point while putting your shopping on top of each other they don?t care if are cakes or raw meat????So frustrating when trying to save time and you have to queue twice ?????After all the checking and lost time they find out nobody take stuff without paying!!Oh, for God sake show that you are a proper supplier- invest in proper table and better trained in customer relations staff!!!! Make them understand that if we don?t shop there they won?t have a place to work anymore!!!I am looking into Costco at the moment anyway!!! Don?t mind to pay for membership- you get your money back at every end of year that can be put towards next year fee! Clever!!

I?ve been a customer of Booker for nearly 10 years. From 2014 with multiple businesses. The women who work on the phone lines are the most unhelpful group of Karen?s ever! There?s even a rude worker called Karen who works here! If they say they?re going to call back THEY'RE NOT GOING TO CALL YOU BACK! No matter how important an issue is. Today I spoke to Lisa who promised me a call back. It?s 4pm and there closed now. I think in the last two months I?ve been promised 6 call backs that never happen. Utterly useless phone service.

To the rude lady that was at the checkout this morning when my contactless card declined as it needed the pin entered into the machine and she made a rude comment that "she's not the bank", really ruined a lovely early morning shopping, considering it was 7:30 am, three happy Teachers shopping for our staff party. Do better Makro train your employers to be courteous. I wish I could give zero rating as a result of having my morning ruin.

I visited last week to enquire about ordering lobsters for Christmas and was advised by the fishmonger they are unaware of their stock and have stopped taking bookings for lobsters due to past experiences where customers have made big orders and have not come to collect them.He kindly advised I come in and check the following week and just order as and when I come in.I followed the colleague?s advice and visited Makro yesterday & saw that there were some lobsters in the tank. I enquired and a different colleague simply said no and that all the lobsters are all reserved. I mentioned the advice given from last week and he then replied they are taking bookings as they knew how much stock they were getting.As a customer I left feeling very deflated and frustrated due to the mixed messages from the team. I do not think it is fair to have a ?booking system? when it suits the store.In the run up to Christmas, the store needs to have set rules and information around ordering seafood as it is not fair for all customers. Due to the mixed message and inconvenience I am leaving a 1* review.The store itself is quite run down and needs refurbishment as everything is dated and the store is very dark and dingy.
