Really lovely tea break today at Dottys. Thanks to Michelle for her lovely service and attentiveness. We didn't order much as I was with my young daughter but still felt very welcome. Cakes are delightful as was chai latte. Kids menu available with lots of choices. Interior and crockery is so cute and pretty. Love coming to this local business and always try to whenever we have time! Highly recommended.

A really nice experience. Staff were attentive and the food was great. Definitely will be going back there again. I would have tipped more but I don't really carry cash, but next time I will.

A lovely place to go for a themed event and the service was great. It was a little pricey for what it was but a lovely atmosphere.

Expensive for fairly inferior sandwiches and over sweet cakes. Second pot of tea was just water added to the dregs!

Nothing fabulous about the afternoon tea had here. Service was cold in both attitude and food, scones were shop bought and to top it off the bill was incorrect and we were being charged in addition to the afternoon tea for the teas and cakes and clotted cream had with the afternoon tea. Which was totally bizzare and dishonest! I caught the incorrect calculations on my bill because I checked and there are people who don?t check!! They were trying to fob us off by saying afternoon tea was not unlimited when we were informed specifically otherwise at the start of service!!! There was 2 attempts to rectify the bill and they still managed to charge us an extra 1.50/- on clotted cream ( we did not order any additional and had what was given in the afternoon tea). The sandwiches and the tart were palatable however it was disappointing all in all as there was not a smile during the whole service and communication was completely off and not clear and we left with a very sour taste in our mouths. Would not be heading back there again!

Wow, just wow! First time we?ve visited and everything from the warm welcome to the food was amazing. Beautiful interior, drinks were actually hot and not tepid, and the cakes and pastries were flavourful, fresh and not overly sweet. We had the Amalfi Afternoon tea as a birthday treat and we?re already making plans to go back. Not local to us but worth the travel. Found a new favourite spot!

Lovely place for afternoon tea. Dotty giggle tea was pretty good. Loved their afternoon snacks. My daughter had the rocket blast tea which is nice to have.

I recently took my mum to Dotty?s Tea House in Carshalton for their Wimbledon-themed afternoon tea, and it was such a wonderful experience from start to finish.
The decor inside is charming and beautifully styled ? it has that perfect mix of vintage and cosy that makes you feel instantly at home. The staff were genuinely friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed.
The afternoon tea itself was fantastic. The Wimbledon theme was so cleverly done, from the delicious scones with cream and jam to the beautiful little cakes decorated with tennis-inspired touches. We loved the fresh strawberries and the little details that made it feel so special and seasonal. The sandwiches were fresh and varied, and the selection of teas was excellent ? my mum enjoyed the classic Breakfast tea and I Loved the Strawberry iced tea!
Overall, Dotty?s is a real gem in Carshalton. Whether you?re looking for a treat with family or just a lovely place to relax, I can?t recommend it enough. We left feeling thoroughly spoiled and already planning our next visit!

Had a great time, excellent food and very warm and welcoming. Had a great time chatting with the owner herself and learning of the origin of the name and how it all got started.
Will recommend visiting and I myself will be revisiting when next in the UK.

Just had an ?Ohana? afternoon tea at Dotty?s with my Daughter. Really lovely sandwiches and cakes. My Daughter loved the tea. The staff were lovely and engaging, it was a great time.

I made a point of phoning and checking if Dottys was open on easter Monday knowing it fell on a bank holiday. I was assured it was open and I made a booking for my 11 year old daughters birthday which I was made to pay for at the time of booking. Only to be phoned up 2 weeks later to be told oh no we're closed and trying to blame the booking system for letting me book..although I actually spoke to someone to place the booking, and I have photographic evidence that it was open.
Anyway I moved the booking to yesterday, was promised prosecco for the adults upon arrival and extra goodies for the kids due to the mistake with the initial booking. I also had to add another child on as my friend had no childcare for him.
Now the food was lovely as expected but the customer service not so good. Knowing it was a birthday treat for my daughter I had expected a bit of acknowledgement it was her birthday..but no nothing. I had to ask for the prosecco twice which they then tried to charge us for until we had to point out it was complementary, to which the response was oh yeah i remember now. There's was no extras and no acknowledgement that there had been a problem. Just brushed under the carpet and forgotten about.
Having worked in customer service myself I definitely know that if something has gone wrong, you go above and beyond to make it right. This didn't happen at Dottys and I left with a very sour taste in my mouth.

My best friend and I came this afternoon and had the V.E day afternoon tea....
It was really lovely and there was so much to eat, we had to get takeaway boxes,
Scrumptious cakes, sandwiches and a special V.E day biscuit....
