Not a bad building supplies store, quite a selection

I assumed wickes is a big brand with good reputation and good corporate responsibility. But I was shocked today. I bought a small item last week but didn?t need this and went to get a refund. As I didn?t have the receipt I couldn?t return the item. I believe company big as wickes should not have policy like this, I have to bin this item, the item is in original condition, I believe this is not very good for the environment and if company like this have a policy like this it would means millions of items been going to bin for no good reason. The customer service is the worst I have seen, those guys in the tills had no manner, I did not expect cowboys / street scams attitude from company like wickes

I bought Crown Satinwood. It's more milky semi clear fluid than opaque. So bad and frustrating to use. Only then did I read other bad online reviews saying their own frustration.So back I go to Wickes. Daniel and Natalia were pleasant (as was Daniel yesterday when I purchased it) but they had to call the manager. He said he wouldn't refund because I opened it. I said yes because I bought it because I WANTED TO USE IT but it's NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE? I can't tell if it's bad from the outside of the tin. Surely this is within my customer rights to return it? He said did I mix it properly. I demonstrated how well I mixed it. He said do another coat. I said I've done two coats already. I'd have to do more than two coats to get anywhere with it so I'd use most of the £25 can on a single door? He said get one for wood. I said look at the can. IT SAYS WOOD and metal. Bla bla bla, got nowhere. He said in the 6 months he's been there no one has returned that one. I find this hard to believe if anyone has bought it they haven't found issue with it. Left with my can, more frustrated and no replacement. Have to go through Crown customer service instead! Off to B&Q!

Thank you to the manager who helped us with purchasing tiles. Wickes delivery let us down with the delivery as they had trouble delivering to our house. The staff at the end were very helpful

They advertise kitchens and bathrooms fitted in 10 days by their qualified staff. It's not the case. We have had random Cowboys in our house for over nine months and ended up with an unfinished kitchen a horrible bathroom and many house damages to repair. Such a huge scam!!!!

Nigel is amazing. I came into the store to look for a cat6 cable in 100m. It wasn?t on the shop floor but he was adamant he was going to find it as it was showing that there was 4 in stock. He went looking for it for over 10 mins. He asked the management, checked the warehouse and the office and eventually found it. He didn?t need to take so much time and go above and beyond, but it showed he cares about what his customers are after. Any other person would?ve just said I don?t have it on the shop floor, try another store.Nigel you?re a star. You?re an asset to wickes. Appreciate you a lot. God bless!

A very loud announcement about a forklift truck and a cordoned off area, is being broadcast every few seconds driving visitors and staff absolutely crazy. Avoid this store, whose owners do not seem to mind the well being of visitors.

Went there to return some flooring as it was damaged and Vivian and Del were very unhelpful and basically called me a liar and that I caused the damage. I had 10 of these same pieces but apparently they haven't seen this before. They wanted the whole pack back with the good ones I've used to sell to another unsuspected customer and then tell them they haven't seen this before.Save your time and go to another store. Following this up with customer service.
