Had a lovely stay and particularly enjoyed the service from Raj, Joyce, Sabrin and Selida

Check-in was straightforward, and the lady on reception was very nice and friendly. However, it?s frustrating that you can?t access your room a second before 3pm unless you pay £15 ? though that isn?t reception?s fault.
The hotel itself is very tired and clearly one of the lower-standard (yet most expensive) Travelodges we?ve stayed in. It hasn?t been renovated at all: the lifts feel rickety, carpets are dirty and frayed, and there?s no public toilet available.
We booked a room for three, and I paid extra to select it as it was slightly larger than the alternatives. Unfortunately, it was disappointing. The room was full of hairs (especially on the bathroom ceiling), there was limescale in the bathroom, no glass provided, a dirty shower curtain, and the space was hot with no air conditioning. We couldn?t open the window because of the constant noise outside.
Pillows were another issue ? there weren?t enough. Despite asking several times, we were eventually told we already had ?enough.? My husband went down, and the receptionist came back up with him to count how many we had!! He then said the hotel was full and no extra pillows were available. After we insisted, he suddenly found one and returned a minute later, throwing it at us.
Overall, this was a very poor experience. I wouldn?t recommend this particular Travelodge and, after this stay, we?ll probably avoid the chain altogether.

Location is excellent rooms were clean and a great size. Bathroom a little tied and a little worn but reception staff were friendly and helpful. Good value , shame the reception area doesn't have a bar tea, coffee station are maybe toilets but maybe due to size. Will stay again if in the area again.

Well where to start?! This is hands down one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. Check in procedure was easy and the staff were pleasant and friendly, but I'm afraid it's all downhill from there. I was staying on the top floor so thought I'd use the lift to go up. Not only was it very dated and dirty but it banged and rattled all the way up so much that I didn't feel safe using it again. The corridors smell musty and the carpets could do with a good hoover. Got to my room and was greeted with what was essentially a prison cell. Single bed shoved against the wall, desk mounted on the wall opposite, and one sorry looking chair. The bed was so poorly made that I had to redo it myself, and the mattress seemed to lean to one side so I suspect the bed frame was also broken. Really funky smell from the bathroom, and the toilet needed flushing several times to get any kind of flushing performance from it. I was looking forward to a nice relaxing bath after a long day but the tub looked like it didn't know what a sponge was so I settled for a shower which was in dire need of some limescale remover. The shower curtain was rank and smelt really musty. There is no air conditioning whatsoever and my room was incredibly hot as a result. The small desk fan they provide was caked in dust, and the windows barely open an inch. There's no fridge to keep drinks or food cool, and they don't provide a glass for you to fill with water. There is a very well used mug provided for hot drinks though if you're brave enough to use the limescale ridden kettle. There is so much noise from outside at night. Constant crashing and banging and shops getting their deliveries makes it impossible to sleep. And you daren't shut the windows or you'll cook yourself alive. Had fluid stains and drip marks on the wall next to my bed too. Absolutely disgusting. Oh and breakfast provided is essentially a cereal bar and a box of cornflakes to go. I had an absolutely awful stay at this place and wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. Travelodge should be ashamed to have such locations, especially for the price charged. Avoid at all costs unless you delight at the thought of potentially catching something nasty and throwing money away.

I've stayed at Travelodges a few times; and have always appreciated the service we got specially at budget prices. But Marylebone Travelodge sadly was a big disappointment -
Number of things occurred leading me to leave with my family after the first night.
When we arrived at room after we checked in; there was rubbish outside near the lift area; and it stunk, the rubbish stayed there until around 3pm.
My son, who is a baby; pulled out what appeared to be chips from the side of the sofa.
When looking out of the room, there was a ledge, full of rubbish and cigarette buts; very unpleasant. I would imagine this would take about 15 mins to clean; if somebody was to bother.
Compared to other rooms I've had with Travelodge in other locations, this room was small and had no air conditioning; The day was hot, so the room was very difficult to stay in and smelly. We ended up checking out on Monday, One day earlier than planned.
Overall, I am very disappointed. Because I have had better experiences at other Travelodge locations, I will not let this be the reason that stops me from using Travelodge, but advise you, to improve the Marylebone hotel.

We paid for early check in, arrived at 12noon and was left in the reception for over 15mins with no indication as to what we were waiting for, I am guessing they were cleaning our room, whilst we waited. Luckily we had a bit of time before attending the event we were in London for, so it didn?t delay us.
Unfortunately whoever was above us had an obsession with dragging the chairs around from around 10pm to past midnight, which luckily didn?t wake our little boy. We also had not so great luck with a car with some kids blaring their music (base and all) right outside our window at 11:30pm. Obviously not the hotels fault, but you just couldn?t make it up! No air con, just a rickety old fan left in the room that was ready for the bin, so we were very warm with heatwave. Overall, one of the noisiest hotels in London I have ever stayed at and don?t expect a lie in, building works next door start at the crack of dawn at the moment too.

In general it is a nice stay for one or two days. The pictures on the website are a bit misleading however the rooms were clean. The main advantage is the receptionist, 'Joyce', she is brilliant and goes the extra mile. Without her there I probably would not have enjoyed my stay as much. The rooms do not have AC so please be aware when booking during summer. They only offer cleaning services every 5 days so keep that in mind as well. The cafe is very cute.

Very disappointed with my recent stay at this Travelodge room 104, checked out today . The room was extremely dirty and far too small for three people, even though we booked for three guests. When I opened the towel provided, it had multiple strands of hair inside?clearly not cleaned properly. The door stopper was broken, and the door was so heavy that it took two people just to get luggage in and out, which was very inconvenient.
There was no air conditioning in the room, and worse, there was a strong smell of weed either coming from inside the room or nearby, making the stay very uncomfortable. Overall, the room felt neglected, poorly maintained.
Definitely not the standard I expected from Travelodge. Would not recommend this location.

Functional, clean and great location.
Marylebone station very close by.
No air conditioning.
TV didn't work very well. Apparently it's a known problem. (Fix it)!!
Luckily I wasn't there to watch TV.
Breakfast had to be collected from reception in the morning.
A box containing cereal, small carton of milk, water, and a couple of energy bars/breakfast oat bars.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
Overall, Travelodge needs to invest.
But, an acceptable stay.
Happy to recommend. Just.

Good budget hotel in a fantastic central location. Our only grumble was lack of air conditioning on a sweltering night.

Single rooms are much smaller than in the photos. And there is no air con. However it was clean and staff were helpful.

This is a particularly grim travelodge. While yes the location is great, the rooms are the size of prison cells, dated, smelly and warm.
It?s important to note too that there is no air conditioning and the breakfast is not a cooked breakfast but a particularly bleak pre packaged box of corn flakes.

Joyce on reception is a credit to the hotel, so friendly and accommodating. We had an issue with our booking but it was resolved in seconds by Joyce.

Hot, sweaty oven like room with no air conditioning. Terrible night's sleep
