not as good as it used to be! now its all either really over priced, or a bit naff. this used to be one of the best charity shops in london til it was 'redesigned' a few years ago. since then its gone downhill til most of the time i pass by there's only one or two people in there. at one time it was rammed with customers. the clothes are often really over priced, and lots of its just plain naff (but still expensive). sad, as it used to be amazing, filled with really unusual and cool clothes. there used to be an amazing array of books, now its just a handful. all the fair-trade stuff has gone, or all but gone, too. past few times I've gone in I've not been remotely interested in buying anything, except one asos dress, which was more expensive than when it was originally on sale (i had it in a different colour). for a charity which claims to have eco credentials, its pointless leaving the lights on overnight in the windows, when the shutters mean the window display is pretty well covered up.

I love this shop. It's really cool, the décor is amazing and make it an inspirational place to shop. There is a mix of second-hand, vintage and customised clothing which makes it easy to find a little gem now and again. The clothing is well-edited which means it isn't hard work or frustrating to find something you like. There are also books, accessories and menswear.

Camden is a good charity shop area. You can find funky bits at Oxfam. Yesterday, I saw this sequined belt that only Jodie Harsh could pull of. Needless to say, I briefly thought of purchasing it. This branch has a good selection with some vintage pieces thrown in. I only buy vintage. Vintage is cooler than thrift. I sometimes buy vintage from 2007 in charity shops, but it is not thrift..It is VINTAGE. Yes Dahling, Vintage 2007. This store also sells Eco seed bars and Divine Chocolate. There is very, very small selection of crap jewellery and a good selection of bags including one hot VINTAGE red one, which is probably 5 years old. I am just so up and coming.

I've volunteered here. It was great and the thing is I was ignorant of all the things they have inside. You don't realise there is a vast amount of fair trade goods, brand new and also jewellery, diaries etc which are brand new. They all contribute to raising money for disadvantaged people and promoting fair trade, i.e cutting out the middle man means more profit to the producers. They have some nice stock for people who actually need the clothes, everything that is put out on the shelves has to be in super conditions, its steam ironed inside and even a hint of damage and its in the bin. I would certainly recommend the books and dvd sections to everyone, as the books are literally knew at bargain prices and same with the dvds! If you are a student for example £1-£2 for a book can't be bad!
