I didn't trust the reviews at first. This is the absolute worst pharmacy I've been to. I have been already 5 times, even with barely 10 people I'm somehow still in queue, and it t1kes 45 minutes to have my medicine. What could they be doing back there? Are they creating my pills on the spot?
Their monitor also has an... interesting... way of displaying collections as it looks like it never clears and is out of order (good luck finding your number in there)

Kings is amazing and has always produced such great care under the difficulties that face the NHS. Drs amazing, nurses and other support staff also great, food lovely, clean and helpful staff. And lovely volunteers helping out.
Highly recommend

Sadly this system at kings is broken despite some helpful staff. I was told that my prescription was ready for collection, and went to collect last Saturday. I was told it would be ready in 15-20 mins. After 20 mins I get a call saying my meds actually weren?t in stock, but that they could deliver on Monday - a bit frustrating but fine. I conveyed the urgency that this is emergency medication and that I was going abroad at the end of the week?
Monday, no delivery, and I heard nothing from King?s. On Wednesday I tried calling thd various numbers I?d been given. Most no answer, and those who did passed me elsewhere despite already having tried those numbers.
I finally resigned to going in again - I?m self employed so more time away from work in addition to what I?d already spent making calls.
When I arrive, after being told to wait half an hour (everyone was confused that despite being told their prescription was ready for collection that they had to wait at least 30 mins)! I was then told that it wouldn?t be in for 2 weeks. Medication aside, the assumption that everyone has ages to wait is ridiculous. And that tent waiting area in the winter for people older and more unwell than me is not fit for purpose.

Another 1 star worse service ever, first off all the system doesn't work, they should sent the patients to the outpatient pharmacy with a proof of the medication they need the medication so that they have proof and not everyone needs to be send around back. As well there should be a training worse worse customer service ever, should do a training in understanding and empathy and should be more wanting to collaborate to contact doctors instead you see they want to do the Bear minimum shaming you in front of other people talking about your case in front of others. The whole system should be re organised. If they really want to complain and say it happens all the time then it is their job to make sure it has been raised with the heads of departments because this doesn't work. I have been send around 3+ times. For my 3y old SEN that is at home waiting for his medication as he is super ill. For such a big hospital you can do better.

EMA Patient Transport were at this hospital to pick up a patient who was using our private ambulance service to be transferred home in Chislehurst, Kent. The staff here were brilliant and the pick up was seamless, thank you!

This is by far one of the worse services I've ever seen in my life so far... the system in place is clearly not working... 30 minutes for each person will create huge congestion, I came here at 4pm, with 6 people waiting to now over 20+ people waiting and increasing as we speak. I actually felt like I was in a warzone. The entire place is filthy, and staff are useless at their roles. A review of this place is highly needed, or this kind of place will turn into an inquiry later in the future.

picu intensive care were amazing with my disabled daughter, of all the nurses during our 5 nights only two were rude,I remember names and these two left me to get on with changing my daughters sheets/pads and machines. otherwise, all amazing. didn't appreciate Sarah snapping at me for not putting my daughters sheets in a laundry bag! bearing in mind I was doing her job anyway! otherwise all were amazing

Very long waiting ever experienced. Need better efficiency and solution to speed things up.

Extremely bad, alot of frustrated people here waiting for over 30 minutes for their prescription despite theres quite a few people working there.
The system of how they operate is bad, if I had known how bad this pharmacy was I wouldve just asked for my prescription to be sent to my local pharmacy!
A complete waste of my time, will not be coming back!

For the first time since I?ve used the King?s College Hospital outpatient pharmacy, I arrived in this situation: no one was in the ?drop your prescription? or ?collect your medication? waiting line?it was~ 18:45.
I could go directly through but was asked to wait until my collection number appeared on the screens.
I confess that I devised a task to reduce my waiting time: I left for my grocery shopping in a nearby supermarket, and when I returned 60 minutes later, I could walk in directly?again, there was no queue. I was out a minute later with my meds and spent only three minutes overall on the outpatient pharmacy grounds.
I know this isn't possible for everyone, but I'm happy about the far more relaxed process at the outpatient pharmacy, where I sometimes waited two hours or more throughout the last few years.

Princess Elizabeth Ward
Was booked in for surgery for my son, tried numerous times over the two weeks before to contact the ward regarding my needs as a disabled parent having to stay over. My needs were completely undermined and overlooked, no one bothered to return my calls once.
On the day we arrived on time after paying over £150 for parking and air bnb. NO beds available so was asked to leave the ward and sit in a tiny waiting area in the corridor. We were left waiting for over 4 hours with no info, my son screaming because he was hungry still not knowing if his surgery was going ahead. He was dehydrated due to his feeding tube coming out a few days prior, no one bothered to come and check on him.
Our experience with Kings has been the most stressful and upsetting so far. Communication is extremely poor and they are not disability aware. I?m actually quite scared about returning there for my son?s surgery.

the service is terrible- staff are nice but you have to wait 30 minutes for them to take your name, no seating out in the cold. You then get a ticket and have to wait another 40 minutes.im waiting for a prescription for asthma issues so being out in the cold doesn?t help. People are waiting for prescriptions so they?re already sick having to wait outside in the cold doesn?t help. You need to move the pharmacy to a building INSIDE!Kings college hospital is renowned for patient care but severely lacking in the pharmacy process. Why not take people?s prescriptions and get it ready there and then? rather than making people wait twice.I?ve never had to wait so long for a prescription in my life even at St Thomas?s Hospital which is very busy
