How can this bank still operate? I went in to the branch to open an account. Instead of helping me, they referred me to an app. I then spent half a day feeding info into the app. You can?t see in advance what info and documents you need to have ready, and if you don?t enter the information fast enough, the app resets and you have to start all over again. In the end, the app told me that my application didn?t go through and that I had to try again later. I did this several times. The helpful people at the branch then told me I could not get an account using my Australian passport (which I?m not a UK citizen). It would have been great if they told me that up front - I asked about it specifically.
Then, after travelling for a while, Lloyds bank had sent me six letters in the mail, including two Visa cards! The icing on the cake was the overdraft notice, claiming I owe them account fees for the account I was told I could not open.

Awful customer service at Lloyds bank. Staff treated me poorly, making it very obvious they are unhappy to deal with my easy request. Unpleasant experience. I would give 0 not 1 star.

Big thank you to Mohammed today ! He is definition of exceptional customer care !! I came in stressed because my account had been blocked and the branch was closing. He calmed me down and re assured me that he will help me with this situation. And so he did :) ! He stayed with me 20 minutes past the time the bank had closed he really went out of his way honestly I really appreciate that. Thank you soo much for that and giving me a great rest of the day ! :)

I wouldn't normally leave a review of a company because of one person but felt strongly about my experience. I was served by the rude infamous lady with braces who has come up on the reviews 2 TIMES before. The branch manager was wonderful and after putting in a complaint and acknowledged the poor service I received.

Went in as instructed with my passport to open an account. Was then told I needed to also bring proof of residence which was NOT in the email or any instructions online. Complete waste of time. I?m going with another bank because of this.

Worst customer experience. The lady at the front desk (wearing braces) was extremely rude and passive aggressive. I was seriously considering leaving to go to the HSBC branch next doors.

I am very disappointed with the staff of this store. I was there in the queue waiting at 12.10, almost 1 hour before they close on Saturday. The employee that was about to serve me used the excuse of "our store capacity is low for such tasks, and we are closing in 20 minutes" and prompted me to reach the store in Oxford street that closes at 15.00 on Saturday. I had to finally spend another 2 hours in zone one (no buses arrived on time as usual), and ruin all my plans for the weekend, to finally reach the second store and complete a task of 15-20 minutes. It is disappointing that leaving the office is more important than taking care of your customers. I definitely recommend the store in Oxford street. At least there you can complete any task during the working hours.

Long queues! While?s was waiting for ages in the queue, the was not even one cashier available. Just an empty desk.

Rude, unhelpful. Gave me the bare minimum information I needed and left out parts. Then refused to open an account for a trivial reason ? ? I walked across the street to HSBC and they were very helpful and it worked perfectly.

The cashier staff are very slow. I have been in the queue for more than 15 minutes just by myself. The cashier job is not fixing customers' papers , one star is too much for this service

Very friendly and helpful staff. Hospitable and relaxed atmosphere. A good example of how a proper bank branch should be. Would recommend everyone
