I went to the Brixton store in Acre lane to purchase a small table. £25.00 I was shocked when i looked at the delivery charge. Prices sw9 area is where i live and where the store is located £37.00 was the cost. Plus £5.00 if i lived on the first floor and up to ,£20.00 if i lived 3 floors and over with no lift How disgusting is this for a charity to charge This amount It would cost me £67.00 for this table I will contact the charity commission for there comment on this I tried to call BHF head office but was greeted with a answer machine. For a call back For a charity its Disgusting to charge these outrageous pricesWith regard to your reply below. Some customers do not have transport to take away the goods. Unemployed pensioners etc BHF is a charity not a corporate high street store .I appreciate the cost of transport and petrol etc for deliveries. Goods are donated free you have reduction of rent rates etc. You have volunteers and some paid staff. That does not justify the high delivery charges from sw9 area to wc 2 area the delivery cost is £95.00 its so ridiculous. Igave contacted the charities commission and i will contact my local Mp to raise this in the house..

I was there to buy a wardrobe and the ladies who serve there told me that they would send it the next day. I asked them if they could send it a week later since I can only receive it on my day off. They said they couldn't have anything in the warehouse waiting. I went to the store. The next week and the closet was still there unsold, I asked them to send it the next day and they said no, now I would have to wait until they had space to send it, the fact is that it is impossible to buy something there

Just had a very negative experience with collection. I was left a bit shaken. One of the men was very aggressive, came across as a bailiff. I recieved a call at 08.30 saying they would be there in 5 minutes, by 8.32 they were outside. I recieved a phone call and I mentioned they usually give you 30 minutes notice not 5 minutes. The man got irritated hung up and started writing on a little leaflet then left it at my door. He walked off angrily and started the vanI had to run downstairs where there were two other men, and I told them the item were ready, they came upstairs to collect but the angry man walked up the stairs slaming the door. This is not my first time donating to BHF but it's definitely the last. For a charity the image portrayed by collections team just doesn't match. And it all played out on my ring doorbell and ring surveillance camera.

Booked pick up if furniture, no one came, when you call no one ever picks up the phone. Why leafing people on and creating logistical problems for them ?!

They won't answer the phone at brixton store

I haven't been there as such, but I have used their services to donate some furniture. They were very professional. I completed an online form and the day after I had a call confirming date and time of collection. So they are bringing their own men and van to pick up my things. Later on I had a confirmation by email.

Always worth a visit. Some stuff is excellent and very reasonably priced. Some times you get a load of overpriced rubbish though. As for the stuff well i will just politely say that they are doing their best to offer the worst possible service...

Very unreasonable pricing. 100 pounds for a old, used and dirty dyson hoover. You won?t find any treasures here.

I know it's all about charity, but I'm sorry the prices that BHF charge are ridiculously over priced for some items!

The price is so wrong.Who ever decided what prices goes on item should do a bit of research. They forgotten its mostly secondhand item shop. The goods they have their are way way way over priced even identical items from original shop do not cost the same. After covid they just stick prices. Example a single mattress costs over £179 each??? Why would I coke hhwre when I have to pay delivery on top?Small mirror 40 years old and pulled and ugly costs 30.Come on..... I even new furniture's cost over the normal price at ORGINAL shop. I give charity to heart foundation monthly and give furniture's that I don't need. Surely there is management who needs to check up on this issue. I have Brixton is over stocked you can't even walk around freely. I wonder why that is.Please see the princesses they don't make sense for second hand shop
