Worst Experience Ever ? Brixton Wetherspoons is a Disaster!
I travelled all the way from Newcastle to London for a family day out, and we decided to stop at Brixton Wetherspoon for a quick meal ? what a mistake that was! From the moment we walked in, the staff were unbelievably rude. No greeting, no smile, just attitude like we were an inconvenience.
When I asked a simple question about the menu, I was met with eye-rolls and sarcastic comments. One staff member actually muttered something under their breath as they walked off, and when I asked politely for the table to be cleaned, the response I got was: ?You can wait like everyone else, alright?? ? in the rudest tone possible.
It didn?t stop there. My family was made to feel completely unwelcome. It honestly felt like they went out of their way to embarrass us. Drinks took forever, food came out cold, and when I asked if it could be reheated, the staff member just said, ?Not my problem, take it or leave it.? Absolutely shocking!
To top it off, I overheard some of the staff laughing and saying things about us. I couldn?t believe it ? the lack of professionalism was beyond words. I have been to Wetherspoons all over the UK, and I?ve NEVER had an experience this bad. If I could give zero stars, I would.
Avoid this place at all costs. Spend your money somewhere that actually respects customers. This is the worst service in London ? hands down.

Went in for lunch because you can always trust a Wethersp
oons but apparently not.
Order a Pasta Alfredo and it come the smallest portion of food I was ever served I this is something I usually order with some frequency on Wetherspoons.
It literally took the fork to my mouth 3 times and i was Finnish.
When enquire the bartender he said it was normal....
Shame

Wow. I mean, I love a Spoons but this is the first one I?ve been in that I?d never go to again. From Glasgow to Manchester to London this one takes the prize. Wonky tables, flat dilapidated cushions on the chairs, I had to clear my own table to sit. I could go on but the list is exhausting.
I ordered on the app at 11:49. x2 freedom breakfasts, toast and jam, orange juice and x2 coffees. The only thing they didn?t get wrong was the two empty coffee cups.
At 12:04 I had to go to the bar and check they had received the order. The drinks came at 12:07 and the food at 12:10.
The toast was more like bread with a Swedish tan and was stone cold. I guess the chef was pressed for time because of the two mushrooms on my plate, one was cooked to death and the other was just raw.
I think my favourite thing about this place is the staff are completely unapologetic about the quality of their service. I took the toast up and said ?can I get hot toast please?? The short, middle aged black staff member just picked up the plate and walked off, he didn?t say a word. There only seemed to be one waitress, a young Eastern European lady. That may be why service was so slow. I will say she was lovely and was doing her best. I did speak with the manager regarding the whole service but this is an experience I would never repeat. If this was my first visit to a Wetherspoons, I?d never go back.

Just a few minutes from Brixton Station, this spot has a calm, mature vibe and Wetherspoon prices. I had wings, chips, a cocktail and a glass of wine - all affordable and tasty. Service was great, but the table was a bit dirty and we had to clear it ourselves. Still, a solid, low-key option in the area.

I write spoons reviews on Google maps of all the spoons I?ve been to.
This one rates in the lower tier. It?s a good spoons to go to if you need somewhere cheap and near the station in Brixton but not somewhere I?d go as Fox on the Hill is also close and nearer Ruskin Park with great views and a larger pub.

Ordered food took 45m to arrive when the place is practically empty. Full English came out with bacon that could've been scraped off the floor outside. Fish and chips didn't come with a lemon :( And spacing of 15m between each plate coming out. Coke is super flat. But I was happy with how my food tasted, and the staff were very apologetic. And got an extra wing, so appreciate the effort there. Could do with cleaning the cutlery tho
