Love the express, one of the only places I can get Bass in london. I?d also love it if you brought back the orchard Pig cider please.

Saw a cockroach under our table by the bar ? wouldn?t recommended eating or drinking here until they resolve the pest issue

Love The Express Tavern. All three of my children had their after Christening/Baptism party here after the service over at St Anne's Church, Kew Green

Tried to pop in for a quick pint and what can only be described as an extra from jurassic park joined us on the sofa in the form of a huge cockroach. The barmaid just laughed at us and told us ye they have a problem and are treating it (possibly with steroids by my calculations) and that we may feel itchy for a bit. Definitely not worth popping in

Friendly staff, good food and drink and a nice garden area to sit in

We visited for a late lunch and tried their lunch deal. It was great value at £7.99 for a sandwich, soft drink and fries but the fish fingers had been fried in old, reused oil that needed to be changed. The breadcrumbs never lie about old oil!
We'd also ordered some chunky chips but they weren't crispy and were a bit hard inside. We maybe visited on a bad day, as there was a private party on.
The pub itself was lovely and so were the staff. I'd definitely go back but would try the main menu and not order fried food next time.
They also accept Amex so that's an extra star from me.

Great range of beers. Nice decor and ambience. Food pretty good without pretending to be something it?s not. We ate there two nights running so must have been ok!

Popped in recently and had a lovely time! The garden area?s brilliant ? nice and spacious, perfect spot to chill in the summer.
You can order food from your phone using a QR code, which is handy ? though oddly, the drinks menu isn't on there, so you?ll need to head to the counter for that. Might as well just order everything there if you fancy saving a bit of faff.
The food was absolutely delicious ? special shoutout to the sauce that comes with the crispy cauliflower bites? such a tasty mix of sweet and spicy, totally hit the spot! Everything we had was proper tasty, and the service was friendly too (which includes Hummus and bread, Crispy Cauliflower bites, Mediterranean pie, Thai Curry rice to name a few).
Bonus points for having big screens out in the garden ? they had the cricket test match on while we were there, which was a cracking touch.
All in all, a great visit ? would happily come back!

ordered food over the app though the kitchen did not receive the order. i had to show proof of my order 3 (!) times. the best they could offer was a refund, no attempt was made to offer food

I've gone past the Tavern many times over the years but never popped in, although always wanted to try it at some point. My wife & I were in the area today & gave it a try, very impressed. A great selection of drinks, we saw a good range of interesting ciders on tap & the bar staff were really helpful, letting us sample before we settled on our choices of Rhubarb cider for me & Mandarin cider for my wife, which were very good. Pub has an old-fashioned feel as you walk in, with a nice garden area at the back which was busy but not too noisy so we could relax & enjoy a chat. We'd only planned to have a quick pint but stayed for a few more, will definitely come back again when we're next in the area & recommend this great pub, well worth checking out.

SUNDAY ROAST.
Good but could easily be a lot better.
We had the sharing with 3 meats for £33.
Meats not the best quality and only enough chicken for one person, but for the money was ok
Vegetables, very good, tasted fresh.
Ordered extra brocoli, which we didn't need.
Yorkshire pudding was nice but was too large and would have been better with two separate smaller.
Left half of it.
The big disappointment was the gravy. It was tasty but FAR too thick. Similar consistency as cement (nearly set).
I would go back but avoid the sharing.
Staff friendly but had to order from the bar, annoying while you are eating.
