Had an unfortunate experience in the Blackheath Neal?s Yard today. Went in looking to try a new product and simply didn?t like the limited range of scents available. The sales assistant, who was somewhat pushy to begin with, took umbrage at my choice NOT to purchase one of the three options (only) in the range and sneered ?you must be looking for something synthetic,? down her nose at me. It was meant as a putdown and I actually received it as a micro-aggression. It?s quite tiring and harmful to encounter such superior idiocy, particularly in spaces where it?s my prerogative to decide what I want and do not want to spend my money on without judgment. Needless to say I won?t be returning.

Had a relaxing back massage in the express walking massage service. Lots of things available to help you relax and release all the stress in your life. The walk in massage service is very popular but to not be disappointed they do take bookings as well. Friendly and welcoming staff. Wonderful relaxing essential oils burning when you walk in. They offer refill station on a few of their products.

The smell in this place is enough to relax you. These are great products in lovely but not over the top packaging. Great for a last minute gift. Love going in here and taking a deep breath. The deep blue bottles look so lovely on the shelf in your bathroom. The staff are extremely pleasant and very helpful, they must get a lot of training. You really feel like you are getting individual attention and they listen to what you say and help you choose a product. I love their essential oils and face fresheners.

Not only does Neal's Yard provide herbal remedies, alternative therapy resources and information on self-help and well being lectures and meetings, it has a massage service for a very affordable price. If you only have ten minutes, or an hour, to spare, the have massages to suit your needs. Okay, these are carried out in full view of the shop's front window, but do not let that deter you. The treatment makes you relax for it not to be a constant thought in the back of your head that you are straddling a massage chair with the passers-by watching you with your head in the middle of a bagel-like cushion.
