There is a special offer for a croissant and hot drink for £4.50. That?s great!
I didn?t notice the sign promoting the offer, when I placed an order for a small flat white and a croissant. I paid £6.39, and then noticed the promotion. I asked the sales assistant why I wasn?t charged £4.50. She replied that it was because I ordered a small coffee but the offer was for the medium size! Doesn?t really make sense as she explained it.
I replied that it would have been helpful if she had told me about the offer. She blamed the issue on me and replied that I asked for a small and she gave me a small coffee. She completely missed my feedback regarding good customer service. Better staff training is needed if this special offer is continued.
The croissant and coffee were fine.
