A an ancient pub but fairly grim. Food was abhorrent and the gents toilets smelt so bad they were nearly unusable.

Wouldn?t bother going for food. 5 out of 8 of us had a roast dinner and the best part was the Yorkshire pudding. Meat was chewy and fatty, the veg was rock hard (undercooked) barely got any gravy so it felt dry and the worst frozen roast potato?s you can get. The fish and chips was average as well as the burgers. The bar upstairs where you eat don?t stock the same drinks as downstairs so most of us opted for a soft drink (coke and lemonade) and it was completely flat. Must have come out of a big bottle as there was no fizz whatsoever. Wouldn?t recommend at all. The only good thing was the big screen outside for football but again not many seats when there?s a big game on I would assume you need to get there early! .

Ok boozer. Good prices, but the beer is horrendous. Go for the bottles.

Went there for sunday roast and it was wonderful! Great service, good drinks and food, and also a very nice outdoor area to enjoy the sun and also a football match. Great vibes overall!

Beautiful building. Really beautiful ..To be expected it was very noisy and busy. Good food and staff really nice. Just expect lots and lots of people.

Went to The George with a big group. Server walks past the table our food was for, so we give a friendly little wave and a ?hello.?
She spins around, slams the plate down on a random table and shouts, ?I?m not a dog!?
Right? good to clear that up, as it had been a real mystery for us up until that moment. Nobody had barked, whistled, or thrown a stick ? but thanks for putting our minds at ease.
Food was fine. Service came with a side of existential identity crisis.

The pub offers a large quantity of seats outside with 4 screens, which 3 small/medium ones on the sides qnd a big one at the end. Good service, nothing special. The food was good, I liked the hamburger and the chips. Would I come back? Sure, why not!

Overall okay. If your in a hurry during the after work hours ho somewhere else. 1 bar 3 tenders and st least 40 people in line.

I really enjoyed my visit at George. I came here with a large group of 11 people, and we got great seating inside, the atmosphere was really nice. We ordered a wide array of really affordable dishes from the menu and everyone was really satisfied, despite their own dietary preferences. Even though ordering at the bar didn?t go that smoothly (because of our misunderstanding), the staff were very patient and friendly, we made some small talk and they were really polite. I very much recommend this place and I think everyone would enjoy it here!
