“Last year we had the misfortune of being evacuated after a warehouse had exploded in Hoo, Kent at 5 in the morning. The area we live in was 90% elderly people and we (100+ people) all had to leave our houses due to it being so close. The fire was still burning at 11am, we were hungry, uncomfortable and such but the salvation army turning up with literally huge boxes of snacks, drinks and even fried up some breakfast so that everyone could have a cooked breakfast really helped make a awful morning better”
“I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to my local Age UK for the invaluable support and kindness they have shown me. Their services have truly made a positive difference in my life. A special thank you goes to Helena and Natalie, whose warmth, professionalism, and dedication have been exceptional.”
