This store is huge and has a huge variety of tools and utensils.
Specifically, I went to this store that day to buy a tile cutter, and I was lucky that it was on sale, so I paid less, which made me very happy.

Went in to buy a lawn moaer today and was ath the first till, where i was served by an extremely rude somalian woman (maybe a man) she was extremely rude and angry.. seemed like she hated her job and looked very depressed and tierd.. i was very polite but she was very aggressive towards me... She cant even speak english properly too... How can you employ people like this??? there was a very nice english guy on the self checkout who was very professional and decent... I would also like to add that her breathe had a very bad smell to it and i had to cover my nose when talking to her

Just cam here to pick up some rustic mulch for my garden, was helped by a guy with a pallet lifter to get the bags to the till, and Kayna who served me ensured i got a good price on the amount i brought! Everyone was so helpful will definitely be going back!

A huge thank you to Abdul Rafiu in the timber cutting section at B&Q Old Combe Road! Absolute superstar. He not only got all the cuts spot-on for my project, but he did it with such patience and care that even my wife was impressed ? and trust me, that?s no small achievement!
Abdul Rafiu really went above and beyond, making the whole experience stress-free and surprisingly enjoyable. He?s knowledgeable, supportive, and has that rare combination of technical skill and brilliant customer service. Honestly, he turned what could have been a quick DIY errand into the highlight of our day.
Thanks Abdul ? you didn?t just cut timber, you made my wife really happy too! A true credit to B&Q.

Awful customer service. The woman at the paint mixing aisle was on her phone facetiming and was annoyed that we asked her for help. The other staff member was slightly better but she was just about bothered to help us. Went selco instead and bought all my paint there.

Have been too this store on a few occasions, personally speaking the store does have a lot of Options and varieties , from gardening decorating, and so forth, the biggest let down is the In experience youngsters, which I have witnessed laughing while joking around with Equipment, and on tills , which can be off putting and Unprofessional . plus the level of inexperience while Customers were Uncertain and needed a Requirement. Is why I rate this store a 3 based on the inexperience younger Staff members working on the tills. dealing with the public.

Not the biggest B&Q but should have most of the bits you need for home projects. I have found that quite a few things I've needed are either out of stock or online-only which is a bit of a pain.

Very disappointed with my experience in this store, I was ignored by multiple members of staff when asking for help on wood stains, one staff member did not even bother looking at me when responding. Don?t bother coming here u less you are a cis man as you will not be respected let alone helped!

We stopped coming to this store because the customer service was so bad. Today had to come as the saw machine at Greenwich b&q was out of order. Same issue customer service was so rude and dismissive. Go elsewhere if you can

On Tuesday 1st July 2025, my daughter had a disgraceful customer service experience having a piece of MDF cut to size. The cutter was not only unhelpful in every way, but was very rude and dismissive, ignored her so that she had to try hard to attract his attention, appeared to engage in a personal phone call when he knew she was waiting, and was generally very offhand. Even if his capabilities are limited to cutting MDF, a bare minimum of courtesy is surely not too much to expect from one human being to another.

Re Hanad
would like to offer positive feedback for the excellent customer service offered by a B & Q worker from the Old Kent Rd, Peckham branch called Hanad.
Hanad was extremely helpful, impeccably mannered and used his knowledge and patience to support myself and daughter in the selection and care of outdoor plants. I went in for one plant and came out with 2 trees and a dying plant that needed some extra special care :)
You are great Hanad and I hope you are recognised for this :)
