What a gem of a place in Catford. Yes, the venue could do with some updating, but the quality of the food is delicious amd clearly homemade. Although a popular version has opened doors away. My partner amd I really enjoyed our meal and will be visiting.again.

If I could give this place 20 stars I would! Homemade food, made with love. Always service with smiling faces, kindness. Its run by such hardworking, lovely family and food tastes just amazing. Needless to say you won?t get anything close this amazing food with such affordable prices NOWHERE ELSE IN LONDON. Atmosphere is beautiful and its open until late, we love this place ????

A precious hidden gem in Catford - the owners are an incredible couple, put in so much care and love into the food they prepare. We come here regularly and have brought lots of friends and family over who all equally love it. And the prices are very affordable for London. Definitely a must go!

This restaurant is one of my favourites. The food is superb, there are great portion sizes, and it always tastes fantastic!

We've been in Catford for some time now and have never noticed this hidden gem.
We loved the sunken tables, welcoming service, variety of dishes and (really) cheap prices. We got Ebi fried, seaweed salad, salmon special roll and mixed sashimi rice box w/ miso.
It's not the fanciest of sushi, but it feels authentic, unpretentious and like you're stepping back in time.
Definitely choose Sapporo, a traditional independent family run business, and forget about Taro!

I love Sapporo. The food is tasty, it isnt too expensive and the staff are really friendly. It's a really nice local place.

Don't judge a book by its cover! Incredible value meal, similar restaurants are often twice as expensive. Homely food, large portions and welcoming service. I hope they stay in business for years to come, I'll definitely be returning.

Been to this place years ago to discover Japanese food, can't say when. In my recollection, food was nice, service was good, atmosphere not great as I was the only customer when eating, some came as I was leaving.
