We had a truly excellent experience at John Lewis (more specifically Peter Jones, Sloane Square) thanks to the lovely Bina Manek.
Earlier this year my partner and I sadly experienced a stillbirth. Having prepared for his birth by buying all of the equipment and clothing needed, we found ourselves in the unfortunate circumstance of having to dismantle, repackage and return all of it soon after he passed away.
From the moment we approached for assistance, Bina was friendly, knowledgeable, understanding and incredibly helpful. She took the time to listen, offered honest and well-informed advice, and went above and beyond to make returning all of the items an extremely simple process, which under the circumstances was so supportive and such a relief.
What really stood out was Bina's professionalism and genuine care for customer service; nothing felt rushed or scripted. It is rare to find someone who combines efficiency with such a warm and approachable manner. We left feeling relieved, grateful and appreciated as customers.
Bina is an absolute credit to the John Lewis team. We?ll definitely be returning, and we hope to be served by her again in the future. We'd also strongly advise that the management team take note of this review, as you have a wonderful lady within your organisation, who has clearly proved that she could (and already has) excel in customer service and making people feel at ease. I really hope that you nurture this aspect of her skills within her career and find a more senior role for her to lead within, as she is more that the lady for the job!

This is where I grew up browsing Lego sets in the toy department, waiting for my mum trying on bras in the lingerie department and eating incredible bangers and mash in the food court.

I really like Peter Jones from dragons den which is why I came here!
I wouldn?t like to be in a den with any dragons but I do like making dens. I don?t know how Peter lives in one though because mine always fall down!
This shop didn?t have any dragons in it (apart from toy ones!) but it did have a cafe at the very very tippity top floor which served tea and had a really lovely view which you can see below.

Worst location no parking 7 zebra crossings where there are more people then Oxford street heavy traffic just not worth it 5 zebra crossings outside peter jones alone don't come

You can easily loose several hours inside this exclusive department store; that?s exactly what I did!
Let me give the reasons for not giving such a fabulous all round store a 5 star that it deserves. Number 1; lack of staff in furnishings, menswear & ladies wear. Number 2; due to lack of staff not being around the menswear & ladies wear areas especially around overcrowded sale rails was one heap of a mess. Number 3; a handsome purchase of ladies wear was bleeping around all external stores, so I had to come back ?again? to have a sewn in security tag cut out.
Peter Jones in Sloane Square has been a staple iconic brand since way before I was around, serving this particular community & customers from all over the globe with style & finesse, that brings in returning customers day in day out 365.
For me what was supposed to be a quick trip turned into something more (the directors must love me, the perfect customer)! I found ALL I needed plus some. While meandering around taking some videos & photos to share on here, to give a flavour of this boutique branded store in Chelsea.

I remember when John Lewis were very helpful, unfortunately over the years they have gone downhill !!! Customer service on the shop floor and on the phone is utterly appalling!!! Will never shop with them again !!!

Marius at the bedding/towel section today was a fantastic sales assistant! Haha so much that I spent more than I went for, but because he found me different options where he saved me money and actually helped the situation. I had to set up an Airbnb and came to refund 4 towels because I actually had more somewhere else. I was going to buy only two more bed sheets and he said he got cheaper ones if that?s what I was after, so I ended up buying more of these and an extra throw that was on almost 70% off. Win win! Marius was not just helpful but warm and kind in his communication. Def deserves a review! Thanks Marius!

?I had the pleasure of meeting Georgina (Georgy) in the women's underwear department at Peter Jones store. She works only 2 days per week, including Sundays. She is highly experienced in her field and offered me some valuable advice on choosing bras.
It is not often you can meet a person who loves her job as much as she does. She tries to help every customer.?

I?ve been shopping at my local Peter Jones store for decades.Furniture, appliances, electronics and so much more.
I?m so disappointed and quite honestly distressed by my recent experience. I purchased two replacement Sony TV?s for my 2018 models. Delivery and installation planned for yesterday. One install was successful.
The installation of the larger TV (fourth Sony from JL) in the living room was totally unacceptable. The crew made bad decisions for the install (long story) so now I?m left with a TV with wires showing with instructions for me to have find a replacement cable for the provided short Sony cable.
I?m proficient in electronically researching many things but power cables not so much.
I use a great AI site, Perplexity where I will start my research tomorrow.
Shame on you John Lewis for passing the responsibility to a single, 70 something woman to rectify the inadequacies of the install team. An extension cord could have solved the problem. The incorrect position of drilling a hole in my feature wall is unconscionable.
I?m extremely disappointed by the installation team and the technical support department today as I?ve tried to navigate a positive solution to this scenario I am faced with.

Very disappointed with the follow up customer service, I have now got to make a trip from Lewes to London to sort problem! As the customer service is appalling, this is not what I expected after spending over £5,000.
