I?ve never had such an experience at Pret, but this place truly gave me an unusual experience.
All I wanted was a receipt. The server told me they would give it to me shortly but never did. When I went back to ask for the receipt, they said I needed to talk to the manager. When I asked the manager again after a while, they said they couldn?t give it to me because of a system error. They offered me a receipt they already had, which was for £5.99. I told them it had to be the exact amount of £5.90 because I used a business card. They then suggested charging my card the same amount and giving me the receipt so they could refund it afterward. I asked why the manager couldn?t do it with their card, and they said they didn?t have one. I insisted it wasn?t my fault and demanded the correct receipt. Eventually, they charged the amount to their card, gave me the receipt, and then refunded it.
While this was happening, someone else sat at my table and touched my food, so I couldn?t eat it and had to throw it away.
Is it normal in the UK for a customer to request a receipt and not be given one? I can?t understand why asking for a receipt is such a problem.

Lovely place for a stop and a quick bite , all staff are very friendly. The tables needing a bit of cleaning after customers, they ave sharging points for mobile or laptop. As everything else in London, it is ugly overpriced.

Served rudely, apparently by the manager. Tables left with people's wrappers on them. Bins overflowing. Only one toilet available and it had no paper. I attempted to let the manager know this, and she ignored me, but went to shove the rubbish further down into the overflowing bins. Will not return to this branch.
