Stop for tea and cakes or something more substantial. Small seating area, so it can be busy, but we just waited a few minutes for a table to be cleared. Leaf tea allowed to brew in pot for greater strength. Pastries were very good quality. Toilet was in need of cleaning, but it was close to closing time.

About as much atmosphere as a motorway services. Unsmiling staff seemed vaguely resentful that I turned up shortly after they had opened for the day. The coffee was pretty good, though.

We went here for the afternoon tea ona Friday . The place was understaffed. There were only two people running a very full cafe. I think we waited almost an hour for our food. The place was noisy with this crying toddler that the parents do not seem to do something about. The food was great though, but because of the excruciatingly long wait, I feel like I did not enjoy it a lot.The management should do something about placing more staff in the cafe. The two people manning the place were amazing and it is definitely unfair for them to serve all of us on such a busy afternoon.

We came here quite hungry and the food still did not taste that good. The porridge was bland, the vegan winter salad was ok but more leaves than anything else, the pancakes did not taste good at all and were not fluffy (they said otherwise in the menu) and the tuna sandwich was quite okay but not fresh. But we liked the drinks - the coffee, the hot chocolate and the breakfast tea taste good. Extra points for having vegan options.

Lovely afternoon tea. 6 finger sandwiches, 2 small biscuits topped with smoked salmon, 2 scones, cream & and jam, and 6 miniature cakes. Unlimited tea or coffee. Tasty & fresh. Atmosphere good and is nice and clean.

Extremely disappointed.. All the brunch food here is reheated and not made fresh. If I wanted preheat food I would have just ate at home. I asked for a poached egg to be changed to scrambled - They said they can?t do that. Portions came so small. Pancakes tasted doughy, stale & v dry - not enough maple syrup - Received a boil egg when it was meant to be poached because food is served premade & reheated. Such a shame. Never going here for brunch again. Definitely not the same quality as it used to be. V poor quality for price. No care at all.

Upon arrival I spoke to the staff member who greeted me and my friend that I have an afternoon tea voucher for twoI said that we like all options with smoked salmon but just no pork to which he said he would speak to the chef. Coming back he said chef is saying we either do classic or vege option. I said I had it 5 months ago at Wimbledon branch and also in Brent cross branch and they actually gave one smoked salmon one for each plus added smoked salmon even in the sandwiches. He insisted that he spoke to chef and can not do anything. I said how come the other branches did it and your chef isn't accommodating our needs. He explained that if the chef took some smoked salmon for us it would affect another person's afternoon tea. I did not like that and said ok. We waited for the coffee and the waiter came again asking if that's ok to order the Vege option to which I said I'm not happy about and he burst out saying I am not dealing with this and walked off. Another member of staff came and dealt with me saying exactly the same that they can not give us smoked salmon unless we pay extra. I said why would we if we already paid for the whole afternoon tea experience. I was frustrated but was not raising my voice and she said I'm raising my voice.i said no I am not and she said I feel like you are to which I said that's how u feelI can not help you. This is bad customer service you are going to get a bad review. To which she replied " are you threatening me? " . I said that's not a threat. I will leave a review because you and your colleague plus the chef are not accomodating and burst out at a customer for no reasonI will upload my pictures. first picture will be what u gave me and then second picture will be the patisserie Valerie at Wimbledon gave me, who without even me asking gave not only two crackers with smoked salmon but also two sandwiches with smoked salmon and 4 scones instead of two. That's what customer service is about. I will not be coming here again. Thank you very much for the bad experience I had with you.

I took my friend for afternoon tea here for her birthday and was extremely embarrassed by the service and atmosphere. I arrived early and ordered the afternoon tea straight away as they said there was a 20 minute delay time. An hour later it arrived? 10 minutes before their closing time. The waitresses were then passive aggressive with their comments as they were trying to kick us out the cafe even though we had just been given our food and tea, they didn?t even offer to package it up for us or even apologise that they had given us no time to eat a whole afternoon tea worth or food. What should have been a pleasant treat was totally ruined and left us feeling scolded. Would not recommend. Such a shame as the scones and tea were really tasty

We used our Afternoon tea voucher from Buy a Gift today. Was abit underwhelmed by it.Wasn?t really explained what we were getting.Only had one drink each. The sandwiches (3 each) and scones (only 1 each) were nice. The cakes were abit strange that you get 6 little cakes but only 2 varieties (chocolate and a strawberry sponge) could have given us 3 different cakes each really. Didn?t really want 3 of the same cakes. No choice to change them.Glad I didn?t pay for it but feel sorry for the people that got us the voucher.Plus very small shop so lucky to get a table

I ordered my birthday cake online. The packaging was excellent and the cake was loved by all the guests. Great taste, great presentation- way to go!

First, the disclaimer I've been to a number of their locations. But the one I went to most frequently is now closed. Which vexes me greatly, I assure you. Regardless, I used to dine in and have breakfast at the one on Piccadilly, but I discovered this chain one day when walking along and thought I'll have a croissant. So, I went in and bought one. And I will tell you It was the best one I ever had. And I ended up eating two more. Which probably makes me a pig. But sometimes you just have to indulge yourself.

The afternoon tea is nice but the staff are even nicer. My 3 year old son randomly started saying I want strawberry after my sister in law asked for juice menu. The girl who was working brought some strawberries over for him which was so nice. We arrived with only 5mins until kitchen closed on a Sunday and they still managed to serve us too. Fantastic
