Looks nice, but only 3x 'desks' and a few help desks (where you can't actually do any banking services). Also a gang of homeless outside McDonald's, which doesn't make you feel great using the outside cash machine.

I have a mortgage with Nationwide, every time I call they won?t give me access to my mortgage account. Even though I go through and pass security.
They keep passing me over to the mortgage fraud team, then the mortgage team, then the mortgage customer service team. Keeping me waiting for Hours online.
Then they cut the phone line off
This is terrible customer service this is unacceptable from Nationwide
Every time I ask them why, they doing this? They keep responding by say they can?t tell me.
What the hell are they doing?

I would like to express my disappointment regarding my recent visit to Nationwide Bank. On [22nd February 2025], I arrived at the branch at 12:48 PM to request urgent statements. I was asked to wait while the branch manager, Nikitta, and her colleague, Sarah, discussed my request. Unfortunately, they informed me that the statements would take longer than usual to prepare, and with closing time approaching in just 10 minutes, I felt that they were not willing to accommodate my urgent needs.
The interaction left me feeling dismissed, as their demeanor was not helpful or supportive. As a customer of Nationwide for over six years, I expected a higher level of service and professionalism. I hope this feedback can lead to improvements in customer service at this branch.

Manager Turns Simple Request into a Soap Opera.
I went to the Victoria branch to clear up a letter from the bank. The branch manager turned my straightforward request into a full-blown drama. She dodged my questions, rambled on about anything but the issue at hand, and made getting clarity feel like asking for a moon landing. Her grand finale? After finally checking my profile and discovering even more discrepancies, she advised me to ignore the letter and just trust her that everything was fine! I couldn?t believe the bank?s choice of manager?it felt like they were scraping the bottom of the barrel! Complete waste of time.

Banked with nationwide since 1993. Never left them due to great customer service, staff helpfulness and never had any issues with the building society in general. The staff at this branch echo what this building society is all about, its customers. They could do with actively moving the homeless away at opening times a bit more as a person who struggles greatly with anxiety issues makes it sometimes difficult to positively use the machines outside, and also when walking into the branch, but can also know that it is also not their job to move them on, it's the failure of enforcement officers that lack in these areas. All in all though, this branch is great and have no real problems with it.

Decent when it's open, but sorry, being open 9-4.30 is a joke.Given that the vast majority of customers are going to be people that work in the area it feels like you are actually trying to avoid the times just around working hours that will actually be convenient for people.8.30 - 5.30, or even offering any time at all outside the working day would be much more sensible and useful. Even if it did mean closing for a bit in the middle of the day.
