The staff is unfriendly and impolite

During a family trip to London, my husband and I tried to close our old bank accounts, which hadn?t been used in years. The experience was extremely frustrating. It felt like a Little Britain sketch, with staff replying ?computer says no? and making the process unnecessarily difficult.
We ended up wasting an entire morning of our vacation, missing the chance to visit the British Museum with our children. The lost time was far more valuable than anything related to the accounts.
To make matters worse, while we were in a small room dealing with the account closure, a man approached our children?who were waiting outside?and asked them to take a photo of a document and send it to him. I intervened immediately and asked him to leave. When I reported the incident to the staff, they said they weren?t responsible for customer safety and showed zero empathy.
Eventually, we managed to close the accounts, but I left the branch in tears. It was a deeply upsetting and disappointing experience.

Applied for an account online, requested to validate my identity.
Visited this branch, asked why not uploaded online and informed them this is part of the online application process, of course I did.
Asked more questions before being told the person who could help is busy.
Waste of time.

Stood by the door waiting for the branch to open at 9am. Employee rocks up at 9.02 says we're not ready yet and locks the door again. Then came out again at 09.06am and said it'd be another ten minutes. However she was apologetic about it and the guy who helped me was very kind and helpful.

This place is absolute trash. No AC, no entrance (they keep the main entrance locked and you need to use side door because they have short staff years ago), no customer service. Whatever reason you go for their first response is: our system is down we can not help you.
You can go at morning or afternoon doesnt matter. Absolutely garbage behaviour from every member of the staff. The whole branch should be closed and the staff should be fired.

I?ve been a loyal Lloyds customer for over 4 years and have always received excellent service?especially from the teams at Portsmouth, Stratford, and most notably the Oxford Circus branch. Unfortunately, my recent visit to the London Victoria branch was completely the opposite.
I visited on Thursday afternoon and encountered a staff member downstairs, possibly named Tanzima. She was extremely rude, unprofessional, and dismissive. Despite no other visible clients waiting, she told me to come back in 45 minutes. Not long after, another customer came in and received the same cold treatment. He was understandably upset and told her she should consider a different job if she wasn?t interested in helping people. During all this, she appeared more focused on her phone than doing her job.
When I tried to speak with her, she raised her voice, clapped her hands on the table, and was generally aggressive. Her behavior was totally unacceptable and not what I expect from any professional setting?especially a bank.
I was so frustrated that I told her to cancel my account. The experience made me genuinely reconsider banking with Lloyds altogether.
The next day, I went to the Oxford Circus branch, where Michael helped me. He was absolutely outstanding, and so was the entire team there. Their professionalism and respect for customers are truly top-notch. Lloyds should take notes from the Oxford Circus branch on what real customer service looks like.

Customer service on lloyds main phone line is diabolically bad, but the branch were very helpful and friendly - sorted the problem in five minutes

Service at this branch can be hit and miss. Products and services are like any other bank. One thing that is most frustrating about this branch is that the front door on Victoria street is closed and has been closed for over two years. You have to enter through cardinal place only.
