Was viewing sofas at 7:30pm and this rude female asian worker is trying to rush me saying they?re closing soon and asking if i?m waiting for someone and then acting confused when I said I want to buy a sofa? as if it isn?t a sofa store. Left the store at 7:45pm and got to see everything I wanted to and made my mind up with time to spare. Please teach this lady how to read the time she needs help ??

Very Poor Customer Service ? DFS Beckton (09/06/2025)
I visited the DFS Beckton branch on 09/06/2025, ready to make a purchase. The store was quiet, but despite that, the two staff members seemed more focused on watching who was walking in than helping me. I asked questions about different sofas and gave them specific measurements, but instead of assisting, they kept bouncing me between each other.
When I asked about payment options, one of them actually said, ?Mate, find one first, then we can talk funds.? Honestly, I found that comment rude and dismissive ? especially considering I was serious about buying on the day.
In the end, I felt ignored and embarrassed. I walked out and ended up ordering online with no help at all from the store. Extremely disappointing experience, and not what you?d expect from a well-known retailer like DFS.

Kelly was extremely helpful and friendly, whilst also giving us space to browse without being too pushy. Sadly we weren't in a position to order during our visit, so making sure she receives some recognition in lieu of a sale today! Hope to be back soon though.

Do not order from SCS, terrible customer service. Spent hours on the phone trying to track down the order in the end had to go to the store again where they figured out they had put down the wrong email address and then refused to send the invoice to me again as that is SCS policy. I managed to get them to print the invoice but they also need to to call the finance company. Which I can't do as the finance company needs information only SCS has so now I need to go back to the store again as their telephone staff are non existent. Unless they're trying to sell you stuff of course in which case no issues there, they're more than happy to bring you into this PONZI scheme of a company.

Expensive but unique

Absolutely disgraceful. My wife and I came to branch to order a sofa , w decided to also purchase a bed. We were guaranteed delivery before Christmas as we are moving into our new property. They put the order through and confirmed the order. We excepted our sofa and bed to be delivered together, however upon delivery of the sofa we were told there is no bed. Nobody informed us that the bed was out of stock and discontinued, we called up the head office and they were unhelpful and told us to go to branch. They now told us that our bed won?t be coming and cancelled our bed order. They screwed us over because we paid our deposit to move in and now we have no bed and can not move in. The managers of the beckon store refused to take accountability and tried to justify themselves for their cock up. They offered us a disgraceful £100 off our sofa, but they fail to realise we just wasted £1800 on rent moving into a new property which we can?t move into because THERE IS NO BED. NEVER SHOP FROM here. Liars, false promises, lack of accountability and a lack of empathy. We will be pursuing legal action and contacting head office for a formal complaint. You guys ruined our Christmas and new year with the stress you have created for us.

Avoid this store! And this company! Very poor disrespectful company. We order sofas ( two weeks delivery) then they asked extra two weeks. After four weeks waiting they call us and told they cannot make it. You have to chase them like a stupid. Very unprofessional manager there. Stay away from them!
