Very Unprofessional and Avoidant Service
I went to Halfords for a simple brake clean, but they quickly recommended that I change my brakes and also carry out a diagnostic. After the diagnostic, I was told I needed an oil solenoid repair related to the oil pump. At the time, I couldn?t follow through with the repair, but later I realised it should be covered under my Warranty Wise warranty since it?s a mechanical fault.
When I returned, Halfords showed no interest in helping me process the repair under warranty. Instead, they tried to discourage me by saying Warranty Wise ?usually don?t approve repairs? and pushed me to confirm coverage myself. When I spoke with Warranty Wise, they explained that it was actually Halfords who needed to provide the diagnostic and submit the form.
I sent Halfords the required email and form to pass on to Warranty Wise, but after over 3 weeks of waiting, nothing was done. When I chased them up, I was told the person responsible was ?not in? or given vague excuses. Eventually, one staff member admitted they hadn?t submitted the form because they ?don?t have the part? and claimed someone had tried to contact me ? which is not true, as I received no calls or messages.
This whole experience felt completely unprofessional, avoidant, and like they were trying to push me into unnecessary repairs rather than supporting me through the proper warranty process. It seems like they deliberately tried to avoid giving Warranty Wise the evidence needed to approve the repair.
I will not be trusting Halfords again and would strongly caution others to think twice before relying on them for diagnostics or warranty-related work.

Ellen on reception gets 5 Stars - super helpful, friendly and took the time to explain a few things about my car?s wheels to me. The 3stars is that as I drove away my car?s system alerted me to ?wrong tyre pressure?. I went straight to a garage air pump and all the tyre?s pressures were wrong.

Outstanding service at Halfords Autocentre Beckenham! I went for a steering and suspension check and was thoroughly impressed with their attention to detail and clear communication throughout. Really happy customer ? highly recommend!

Poor service.
I came last Saturday to the garage, my booking was at 8:30 am. When I arrived at the garage,the staff from reception told me that I couldn't park in the customer parking even though it was empty. He told me to park elsewhere and give him the keys.
I came to do wheel balancing, and he told me it would take half of the day.
When I came to pick up my car, I saw straight away that's something was wrong, the old weights were not removed, patching new ones unevenly and were loose and I told reception.
The staff from reception told me to wait in front of my car and he'll send the person that did the wheel balancing.
That person came to me after I showed everything. He told me that he had forgotten to take off the old weights, and if the new ones falls just come again.
I told him if he could fix it properly, but he refused and told me to leave.
I made a complaint to Halfords office and am waiting for results.
I'm warning you guys not to go there to have problems, like me.

I had an appointment at Halfords Autocentre Beckenham today (15th July 2025) at 11:30 AM to change my front two tyres and get a wheel alignment ? booked two weeks in advance. I dropped off my car at 11:15 AM, expecting the job to be completed during the day.
To my frustration, I didn?t hear anything until 4 PM, when I was finally contacted and told they had the wrong tyres and couldn?t complete the work. That means the car sat there untouched for nearly five hours before anyone even checked the tyres.
As a cab driver, this cost me an entire working day ? completely wasted because of poor organisation and lack of communication. If they'd checked the tyres when I dropped the car off, the issue could?ve been resolved early.
Extremely disappointing experience. I won't be using this branch again and would not recommend them to anyone who values their time or needs reliable service.

I?ve been using Halfords Beckenham Autocentre for years and just had a major service and MOT done. The team ? Ray, Jordan, and Ellen ? are always professional, helpful, and kind. A special shoutout to David, the mechanic, who consistently goes above and beyond. Trustworthy, efficient, and highly recommended!
