The girl at the counter is very friendly and warm. Place was empty when I visited. The Focaccia I got for takeaway was rock solid and unfortunately I couldn?t go back to return it.

Decent food, bread is a nice treat, the pastries and sweets are ok but I don?t get the hype. Ambience very lacklustre - it?s so noisy and hot in there I don?t understand why anyone would want to sit in - they could try to separate the working areas a bit more perhaps. The staff are very friendly but quite a difference in service between the owners (good) everyone else (think teenagers reluctantly working on a Saturday). Hygiene feels a bit iffy - knives don?t seem to be separated for bread vs sausages and there?s a huge bread wagon placed in middle of the room where dogs can take a sniff. If they worked on those things I think they?d do well.

Unfortunately the cookie I bought was rock hard, the cookie had a decent rich taste, but it was like bitting into something very tough.
I?ve been here before for plain croissants which were good, customer service is average, would reccomend you say help to customers and explain your self service area with a clearer sign.

No offence to any other businesses in Herne Hill area, but
Apart from the most amazing bakery, fresh quality produce and really great customer service,
They make the Best coffee in the area, as a coffee aficionado I would put 11 out of 10.

Cozy atmosphere, service was amazing and personable Rachel was so lovely. The food was beautiful and extremely tasty, the donuts are on par if not better then krispy kreme. The banana cake was a perfect selection for banana lovers. Hot chocolate was warm and homely and positive message on the coffee lifts all moods. Price point is perfection worth every penny. You will not be disappointed
