Unfortunately, Waitrose is losing a lot of its appeal. The only cash counter(lottery+cigarettes) was closed today. All the check-outs are card only. Come on! Even Aldi is installing more cash check-outs.

Used to be my go-to supermarket in the area after getting my bike stolen at Aldi's up the road a few weeks ago. Been coming here for months with my bicycle without any problems. However today a security guard informs me that I cannot bring my bicycle with me while I do my daily run. Now, I would understand if the store way packed and I do recognise that the bicycle is not the smallest thing in the world. However it was early morning and the store was virtually empty. I have already lost 2 bicycles at supermarkets in the last year. It doesn't help that this store is on infamous edgeware road and there are constantly people loitering around outside near the bicycle park. Surely logical heads should prevail in this instance and customer's property and safety should be prioritised where possible. I left and went to another supermarket that didn't say anything about me with my bicycle. Having said that, I still love the convenience of the store, the selection is good, the guy at checkout with the funky glasses is always frendly and polite. But if this policy of not allowing customers shop with their belonging then I find no reason to patronise this establisment just like how I will never shop at Aldi's again....

The price on the shelf and at the check out can be different.
Empty shelves are annoying, especially at the weekend.
Waitrose customers can get free coffee, but not at the Edgware road store.

Such a dirty tip of a store. Busy Saturday and half self checkouts closed as usual so long queues. Discarded groceries everywhere in checkout area. Empty shelves and rubbish and crates blocking aisles. Lots of staff but none care. Security stare at you and your shopping and follow you around which is rich as I had a pickpocket steal my purse from this store! Maybe Security should be staring at the thieves stealing from customers instead of trying to catch shoplifters who are regular customers spending £100 a week at the store.

If you order on Uber they ignore your delivery for HOURS, but they still put your order status as ?shopping in progress? so you can?t cancel. I?m sorry but you weren?t looking for my 8 items for 2 hours!
EDIT [Response to Waitrose] Uber pushed all the blame to your side actually, as did Deliveroo the last time this happened.

Great shop. Always come here probably at least twice a week and get my food shopping done. It?s not the cheapest but good item on stock. Friendly staff and helpful. Clean and tidy. Shame both of their coffee machines are out of service. Any how highly recommended shop.

Just when you think this store couldn't get any worse. Its a real dirty tip with rubbish everywhere and empty shelves with no trolleys at entrance. Lots of closed self checkouts at peak times. It's amazing as there are loads of staff but everything has gone downhill. There's obviously no manager or staff training any more. Frequently I find out of date food but the staff don't want to know. They can barely look at you let alone be bothered to answer a question. Staff very obviously don't want to work there and show their contempt of customers. Black girl on deli should not be serving customers with her couldn't care less attitude. Pickpocketing rife with wallet stolen from my trolley as so called Security useless as only concerned with trying to catch customers stealing alcohol. Such an unpleasant depressing shopping experience.
