A terrible branch of Specsavers. I have come here several times as it?s the closest to me and everytime I regret it. I wouldn?t take the time to leave a review normally but I genuinely think if you need serious eye health help/advice, DON?T GO HERE!
Expect excessive waits for routine checks, up to and sometimes over an hour, (if they book you for 16:00 onwards, there?s a strong chance they will be overrunning and ask to reschedule you). I have not been booked twice for appointments within the span of a week after they log it in front of me - keep your appointment card and try to make a note of who booked the appointment! They will accuse YOU of being mistaken unless you have cards proving it was booked. The opticians themselves are helpful but you can tell they?re extremely rushed and under time-pressure. Customer service are verging on hostile but are, at best, apathetic to their frequent and massively inconvenient mistakes.
I have only been here for a routine eye check, OCT check and lens final check etc etc. Please don?t go here if you need serious help. Everything that can go wrong will - address wrong (I spotted during test and asked optician to manually change), if you book an eye test and OCT, for example, they won?t book the OCT (but confirmed it on the card), if you mention that (without the card), they will flat out deny that ever happened like you have reason to be there aside from an appointment.
If it was the case their attitude just sucked, whatever, but they actually make MULTIPLE mistakes. If you have a job or don?t want to waste an afternoon, and PLEASE if you have serious concerns, don?t go here.

I attempted to visit this store twice for an eye test.
The first appointment was cancelled just an hour before, without any explanation. On my second attempt, I arrived at the store only to be told there was an electrical issue ? again, no prior notice or cancellation message was sent.
Very poor communication. I recommend using another branch or a different provider altogether.

Booked required DVLA eye test here (one of few Specsaver sites available in London for age 70+ driving licence renewals.) Given 2 week appt wait, close to DVLA time limit. One hour before appointment, was phoned to be told that test machine broken, next available appointment after DVLA time limit. When I asked them to contact DVLA on my behalf to explain delay & ask for date extension: ?I?m not sure we can do that.? I asked to speak to manager: ?Nobody here until next week.? Repeated request for them to contact DVLA as it was their fault, & liable to have licence revoked. ?We?ll see what we can do.?
Lost confidence at willingness of staff at this store to resolve problem caused by them. Contacted another store (beware, Specsavers have monopoly contract with DVLA for all required eye condition tests) & fortunately, was given immediate same day appointment.
Phoned Edgeware store to cancel future appointment. Same staff confirmed she would remove it from DVLA platform. When I attended new appointment, we discovered she had failed to do so, & had to contact DVLA (takes time & not easy to do) to unlock their system. Shambolic service, Edgeware Road Specsavers. If you cannot provide a competent DVLA eye test service, remove your store from list. Meantime, Clapham Specsavers also has broken equipment. This is a broken system offered by Specsavers to DVLA.

I wish I could give no stars.
Not a branch to go to if you want to deal with admin staff. This time it was really frustrating. They delayed my glasses for over two weeks after I placed the order, despite the staff member who served me confirming it should be ready within 7 to 10 working days. When I contacted the Edgware Road team to collect them, I was told I?d have to wait another 10 days?which is completely unacceptable.
I spoke to the manager, but she did not care at all, offered no compensation, and couldn?t give me a valid reason for the delay. It?s clear the staff is neither trained nor experienced. To make matters worse, the staff I dealt with were unhelpful when I asked for assistance.
I was thoroughly disappointed with the service I received and regret choosing Specsavers Edgware Road for my glasses.
Avoid this branch if you value your time and good customer service.

The store has exceptional hospitality plus apt guidance for someone who is planning to get their sunglasses with prescription and others. I was assisted by Basil throughout my purchase. He is very good at his job and loves what he does.

I tried to visit here twice for an eye test. The first appointment was cancelled a couple of hours before. The second time someone from the site called me up to confirm my appointment 20 mins before the time, I arrived at the store and then they said they were running 30 minutes behind - which wasn't mentioned on the phone at all - very strange. I couldn't wait so it was a waste of my time.
