I usually go to this branch to trade DVDs. I know I get between 1p and 20p for a return and have to pay for a new one. The sales guys are always so polite and caring. Today, thougj, their loud and rude manager was there and said, without even taking the time to see what I was talking about as a customer : ?we are not running a charity?. I did not want to get the boys in trouble but I did say ? I don?t come here to be spoken to in that way?. Please can you employ a manager who realises that he is in a client-facing position, someone who has diplomacy. etiquette and above all, manners. I think he also treata his staff badly as they are afraid of him. I have been a good client of CeX, both in store and online. People like thT should not be managers or client-facing but employed as janitors, although I know janitors who are more professional and realise that it?s customers who are ultimately paying their salary.

Total scam of a place. Refused to refund a clearly faulty controller they sold me. Shocking service tops it all off. Avoid at all costs.

Unfortunate experience gave the impression staff were useless.
When picking up a click and collect order, the ram was incorrect (clearly being laptop instead of desktop form factor), and I was repeatedly arrogantly lied to that it was correct until they admitted they knew it wasn't and refunded those items.
Furthermore, the display adapter wasn't ready despite me recieving an email to collect my order hours earlier, requiring a clueless colleague take 10-20 minutes to search for it, making me late for my train.
The next day, now I am more than 3 hours from the store, I have been sent an email that the memory card I had paid for was held from me and would need to be picked up or refunded. The cost matters little but it is just another reason why the service has been atrocious. I simply cannot imagine what else they could have gotten wrong.

Thank you to Mo and Ryan at CeX Queensway. They took the time to listen and helped me out with a voucher. They were really patient, professional, and clear about the policy while still being kind. I really appreciate the great customer service.

Headed there to buy a Ps 4 and was given help by Mohammed. Really nice guy but unfortunately the console he sold me was a dud and it did not work when trying to setup. Had promised my son that I would have it really for his birthday but to my dismay the console could not pair up with the controller. Extremely disappointed and now have to take it back tomorrow to get it rectified. Worst part was they prided themselves on delivering quality and the highest standard but had not had decency or due diligence to check if it was working. What has the world come to. The manager was also very rude and expected to me to convey to his customer his policy of taking 1 HR to to certify the sale when I was trying to help a fellow community member to sell his item. This shop has really lost its human touch and is based on policies that do not make any sense. Please pull up your socks, we live in a society and I hope you can learn from this. Truly disappointed in the service and the guarantee the staff had promised me. On a side note Mohammed was really helpful regardless of the fact he had missed out on checking the workability of the console for me. I hope they can learn from this and improve customer service which is currently horrendous at this point of time.

This CeX must be the last place in the chain to receive any items. Déjà vu / ground hog day. This company seems to think it is ok to price items above the new retail price or very close and try to fob you off with ?we give two year guarantee? - good look with that one
