rooms are clean 5/5, toilet are clean 4/5 , service is amazing , good smiling staff , location wise is so so 3/5 , still can take subway or bus for some destination. overall it's good place recommended.no regrets.

Great hostel, lovely staff, the room could do with an extra fan but I found it was well maintained overall.

A great hostel which is as described. Only a 15/20 minute walk from Clapham Junction and a similar distance to Battersea Park.
The only issue with this hostel is that there are no facilities to make drinks or cook food. This is clearly stated when booking and in the hostel described, but even just a kettle, toaster and microwave for guests would be helpful.

I?m a massive advocate for hostels. I?ve stayed in them all over the world over the past 7 years, have had an overwhelming positive experiences for the vast majority of them.
If this was my first time in a hostel at PubLove @ the crown, I?d never stay in one again and call the guy who advocates for them delusional!

This is the worst hostel I have ever stayed in. I?ve stayed in many hotels across Europe and south east Asia but this was by far the most unpleasant experience I?ve had, not just in terms of hostel stays, but life experiences generally.
From the moment I arrived, the man at reception was utterly miserable. He clearly despised his job; even a simple ?hello? was met with a scowl or outright silence. A thoroughly unpleasant individual who has no business interacting with the public.
Room 1 was an oven; AC would have been appreciated in a heatwave, but if not, could some semi-adequate fans be provided? The bathrooms are filthy, cleaned only when absolutely necessary. The showers barely function and are accompanied with putrid shower gel, making one less clean once applied.
The cleaners are the only friendly staff I encountered. They almost seemed embarrassed by the state of affairs.
On my last night, I came back to find someone else in my bed. My belongings had been unceremoniously dumped in top of a cage. Not only was I double-booked, but the staff didn?t even bother to tell me. This, despite being told not to switch beds.
This isn?t just a bad hostel, it?s an embarrassment. The people running it treat guests as an inconvenience. I booked this place because it was near the Battersea Half Marathon; if I?d known I?d be treated with such indifference, I would have slept in a bush.
The Crown was a nauseating experience I hope to never suffer from again. Stay here to build moral fibre, or training to live in a gulag.

Rooms were passable but hot and cramped. Showers/toilets were dirty. Shower pressure completely inadequate. Check in staff miserable and unwelcoming. The place is hugely overrated and overpriced

Wouldn?t stay here in summer. The rooms were outrageously hot and I found it near impossible to sleep but aside that, nice rooms, good beds and reasonably clean facilities. The staff were nice too

The place is fine to visit for food and drinks but to live here in hostel is not a good option but if you have low budget then its not too bad

As a local since many years, I must say that there is not a nice atmosphere, staff is rude and change all the time, food and beers are average, I believe they count the most on the hostel. Shame because the place is nice
