“Brilliant book store. Quite unpleasant experience with a rather domineering male staff member who assumed I was dating my male friend. Ironically, to my face he told me a 5.50 pound book (which was not labelled) was "cheap" in a charity shop when I couldn't afford it.An update a year later: considering inflation is at 13% the fact books here are more expensive than ever is ridiculous. Often cheaper to buy used online with shipping. As a student I can't afford anything here. Great book range though.”
“It is more than a charity shop because you can find beautiful and unique items on a regular basis. It is a busy place with household items, menswear and ladies too. All the designers items can be found in this place for less. Most of the items are new even though it's donated by wonderful and thoughtful customers. You will not be disappointed at all. There is something new for all and the staff are friendly and helpful at all times. There is also B.I.G(brought in goods)by Cancer Research UK with message cards, clothing and accessories with stamped prices attached.”

“Traditional charity shop open 7 days a week, proceeds going to help animals. Mostly clothes and household nick-knacks, sells electrical items too. Right outside is bus stop Story Street (stop M) with buses 17, 91, 259 and 274 so please pop in to rummage and buy, and you can get back on your bus at no extra charge thanks to the hopper fare!”
“Such a lovely shop, I’ve been going there for years.
It is beautifully run, and has things I can afford.
I would like to thank Johnathan, who volunteers weekends, for being so kind and helpful.. both times this weekend I left happy and smiling and with a purchase I really needed.
Thank you to Johnathan and all the great staff, for your affordable prices and excellent customer service.
Best wishes, Amanda”
