“I think the review that Oxfam is a lack lustre charity shop, is totally incorrect. The Oxfam shop at Barnet is very vibrant and buzzing! The staff are always very welcoming and polite, and the choice of merchandise is wonderful whether it be in the clothing department, music department, toy corner or homewares. I never fail to leave this shop without having purchased something, either donated or from the New Product range, which this year was exceptionally good, with a varied and reasonably priced range. I give this charity shop ten out of ten!”
“ignore the bad reviews! I visit this shop (and most of my friends in Barnet) aaaaall the time! the items are mostly brand new. I have regretted buying things on amazon that I've found for much less in there afterwards! and the manager is not rude, she just goes straight to the point if you ask her for something, which in my opinion is much better than small talk or ten million sorry or thank yous. eg the other day I asked her if they had bread knives (I didn't feel like spending £10 in robert dyas) and she went to the back and pulled a brand new one for £2! she didn't make remarks like "you're getting this cheap" or anything like that. she gave it to her colleague at the till and went back to what she was doing. the other staff members are pretty much like that too, genuine and helpful. Otherwise I wouldn't feel comfortable to go in once or twice a week, like I do. so THANK YOU and see you soon.”
