Someone already commented on here, the lack of ethnic diversity in this place, both staff and customers, and I whole heartedly agree with them. There is I am afraid a very good reason for it and I was a victim of it in this place by some of the staff. That is beyond all the positive feedback shown here from the main stream folks on here
Edit: contrary to what the owners are claiming in the response, I was nothing but a gentleman, one not to their liking apparently. A male solo foreigner Spending lavishly and being jolly and smily. And then they only descriminatively ask me to close the tap for reasons they know, and despite that I remained polite but I only refused to pay service charge, in a clean civilised move, but they decided to play dirty and turned nasty , to be specific the waitress was giving me dirty looks and then she went and told the bouncer I was the one who was rude! Who then came charging violently towards me asking me to leave and I refused to leave under such an assault on my dignity in front of everyone and I stood up for myself no regrets ! Then they called the police who apologised to me and said the owners can do whatever they want regardless!
Shame on your staff The Cyclist! In 25 years in London I have never been discriminated against in such a way. A big money spender you should have asked back with open arms!

We went to the cyclist at Balham and Ashley was our server. She was very professional attentive and made sure we had everything we needed all through our meal couldn?t fault her. Thank you.

Booking was not acknowledged despite being asked for a card to be charged in case of no show. Was essentially told to find my own table on arrival despite having specifically booked outdoors. Bar staff were very disinterested in helping. Once there was someone managing the floor / restaurant service properly he was great, but it stared everything off on a poor footing. Food was great, service poor.

Great local pub, nice vibes, always find the staff friendly and helpful and they have a nice range of drinks. Always busy which says a lot! Worth a visit.
