Decent enough coffee shop with a relaxed atmosphere. Staff are always friendly in here. However this branch is looking rather tired and long overdue a makeover. The toilets feel old and grubby.

Did not clean the head out properly and over steamed the milk. Tasted bitter, surprised the guy working at around 12 earned himself a black Tshirts.

Great spot near Balham station!
I recently stopped by Caffè Nero in Balham and enjoyed my visit. I tried some of their new cakes, which were delicious, and as always, the coffee was excellent.
The shop has a cosy atmosphere, and I especially liked the nice downstairs area?perfect for relaxing or getting some work done. It?s also just a short walk from Balham station, making it super convenient. Highly recommend if you?re in the area and looking for good coffee and tasty treats!

The closing time for the shop is 7:00 pm but the people working there didn?t take my order at 18:55 pm saying they are closed because they didn?t have customers coming in the shop for last 1 hour so they close the coffee machine 10 minutes before closing time, also they ask me to go to another coffee shop saying that there are plenty of coffee shops down the road. I was annoyed by the reply because no customers in the shop for the last 1 hour wasn?t my fault, I came far away by looking on website that said they are open till 19:00 pm, so I was disappointed.

I met a work friend for a coffee and we sat downstairs which was a dream,such a lovely area to unwind after a long day I had the deluxe hot chocolate and an ice tea with a cake ,it was lovely and we stayed for a good hour catch-up time in such an amazing place,staff very nice and friendly and patient..

I ordered two iced lattes today and was impressed with the range of flavours. I was served by the very kind professional lady. With great customer service. Sorry didn?t get the name but I think maybe from Philippines? Overall great refreshing drinks and will go again for the drinks and welcoming staff at Balham cafe nero :)

The man who served me had no social skills and didn't answer me.the state of the fables and floor was disgusting, they hadn't been wiped for ages.

Disgusting filthy toilet, went at 1pm and toilets hadn't been checked all day. Also dirty black scum around taps.

Always good coffee and friendly staff but I have to factor in at least 15 minutes to get a drink as the service is very slow. Great options and a nice place to sit and people

The lady that took my order neglected to take my food request or even payment. Clearly when they are busy the focus is gone. They either need to train their staff more or get more staff to assist. Very unhappy with how I was treated. You don't expect much from such an establishment but not even the bear minimum service is met. In the end my order was wrong too. Not recommended. Rather go to Pret across the road.

Despite its prime location in Balham, the interior consistently has an off-putting smell reminiscent of a dirty toilet, becoming a regular issue lately. As a result, I would currently choose not to return:(
