Like any Tesco, this branch has all the essentials you need, and the staff are always friendly and hardworking. That said, the shop feels quite run down, cleanliness could be improved, the freezer is often out of order, and there are sometimes leaks from the ceiling. A bit of maintenance would make a big difference.

3 staff members and the security guard blocking the entrance/exit while they are in a heated, racial argument with a customer who had just left.
Trolleys full of stock left blocking pathways. A very unpleasant experience.

It says open till midnight but if you want to enter at a quarter to midnight to take just a bottle of water you cannot enter

I like my local tesco. Such a helpful staff works here, one gentleman who works there even offered his help when he saw me struggling with my heavy basket. Much appreciated.

Very Kind customer service first of all. There is plenty of options available compared to the other TESCO's. But ?ts VERY SMALL and HARD to navigate. So -1 for that but ?ts a solid 4 stars.

been shopping here 13 years or more. I?ve gotten to know the team in the 13 plus years I?ve been shopping here. They are lovely actually, and helpful shout out to Mohsen and Chenpen. If you take the time to know the team or be a little kind to them you will find they are very caring, they recognise you and proactively say hello and ask how you are. When you give kindness you get kindness. They are never idle, they work hard. If you ask one of them for help I find they will go the extra mile to check for you on something. I?ve dropped things by accident and they never once complained or made me feel terrible, they will action things once they are aware. It is hard to keep on top of so many customers with soo little staff, is it perfect, no, they are understaffed in a busy store. True they are not proactive in their approach. It is a very very busy Tesco express and they do their best to keep on top of things. Messes their customers make, (mine included) keeping the shelves stocked etc.
They face a lot of abuse from mainly student customers (who by some of these reviews look down on them, and have prejudices against their ethnicity). Despite the constantly challenging behaviour they face (sometimes violent and aggressive behaviour and in the evening drunken behaviour) they are kind and polite and resilient. The store is untidy true, due to the volumes of stock they are dealing with and having a lack of staff to support to keep the replenishments up.
There is a wide selection of fruits, veg, baked goods and items you can cook with. vs just convenience food compared to the sainsbury?s across the road. I value this a lot as a customer as I am able to choose healthy options not just ready meal options. Also price wise they are more competitive than the sainsbury across the road on most things.
The store layout is a challenge, sadly they have done this due the theft in the store. And the customer volume makes it challenging to get around the store at times. There is an array of services. There is a bank machine, battery recycling, fresh coffee available, krispy cream station , a large selection of sandwich and grab and go items. I think it?s a good store offering vital services and if they had an increase in staff could raise the bar significantly in customer care and standards.

This place has the most awful service. Queuing for 10 mins and staff actively walk past and pretend you're not there. No one is attending the checkouts yet 5+ people are stacking shelves. Absolute worst Tesco. Sort yourselves out please.

New staff extremely rude, first time having an issue buying wine with photo of ID. Head over to sainsburys they are friendly and use common sense to age and was able to purchase with no issue.
Also fridges don?t work and spillages not cleaned. Absolute dump.
