Cute country pub. Went mid week and felt like outsiders walking in, but the bar staff were super friendly. We had food and sat in the dining room. It was a great place to catch up with an old friend. We were out of the main bar, but could still hear the live music in the background.

A very popular community pub set in the heart of Hillesley village.
We received a warm welcome. Sadly, the occasion was a wake to celebrate the life of a dear friend who frequented this very pub!
The buffet provided for the occasion provided a range of sandwiches, sausage tolks, quiche, chicken skewers & more. A range of sweet treats was part of the spread, however I didn't sample them.
A lovely venue for the occasion.
The pub was very vibrant on the Friday we visited. A testament to the community spirit within this lovely village.

Stumbled in here at about 1:30, lunchtime, on Saturday afternoon and order the burger and the sausages. Barmaid very welcoming, food cooked quickly and tasted delicious after running 20miles round the hills.
