The thickness is too big for the repair area, the thickness is too heavy to jack up, blah, blah, blah."We are an independent workshop with qualified and knowledgeable mechanics to help you maintain and repair your car. We are customer friendly and look forward to welcoming you to our garage."That's what it says on the homepage and when I called, a friendly woman immediately told me to come over!A mechanic did a test drive and it was immediately clear that the brakes were on the front left.The boss himself then got down on his knees in front of the fat woman and took the brakes apart.Unfortunately, it then turned out that not only the brake pads and discs were broken, but also the brake caliper.For this workshop, jacking up was no problem at all. Two powerful jacks on the right and left, plus safety stands, and the fat woman was there without the front wheels.And she was still standing straight.So I was able to eat lunch in peace and little by little, small vans arrived and brought parts.I also got the power line.The whole procedure took five hours and, relieved by £580 (including a generous tip) and generally relieved, I was able to drive away from the farm.Martin Clack really deserved my hug at the end.An absolutely good price-performance ratio. Competent people, super friendly and nice!I don't take it for granted that they helped me IMMEDIATELY and I was able to continue my journey.I am very grateful for that.”
