The staff weren't very patient at all when you first walk in it appears as though you are instantly meant to know what you would like to drink. Leaving you feeling rushed and unwelcome, then when waiting at the bar for the selected drinks to be poured you are faced with a rather peeved bar lady and a man to the side of the bar staring at you.
The pub was advertised as having a children's play area which is why we came here in the first instance but that no longer exists.
Luckily we were able to sit in a quiet and secluded area in the back garden so we could all have a more relaxed experience.
We ordered food, which was brought out in a timely manner.
The food was okay but not great, the chips seemed as if they were cheap chips purchased from the cheapest range you can get in the supermarket.
We ordered a portion of fish and chips, the fish lacked any flavour or seasoning and had the texture of cardboard.
Luckily we aren't local so our flippant decision to try this place out was a one time thing and we will not have to visit again.

I had the goats cheese and spinach pie, my husband the beef and ale one. They were both delicious, as were the chips and good value for money. Bar staff were very helpful

Food is good, getting drinks is quick. Good selection on the pumps. HUGE BEER GARDEN. Carpark does get very busy during hot days.

We visited as we thought there was a child's play area but this has now been taken down (and won't be replaced).
We still stayed for food which was nice. Lovely beer garden and was a good atmosphere on a very sunny day.

Stopped for a quick lunch and felt welcomed. First choices were unavailable, so chose the gammon. This was a huge portion, bigger than I've ever seen! Sadly the fried eggs were hard, but still very good value. The seniors menu with smaller portions seems to be popular at least at lunch time. The service was quick. Well worth a visit for a quick reasonably priced meal

the worst chips of my entire existence .
Burnt outside and greesy oily inside, had to quit after only 1 chips eaten.
probably been cooked is some very very very exhausted oil or even worst them were some leftover chips cooked twice or 3 times.
Rude barlady, we are local but we won't step in inside this pub not even for mistake

Went to this pub with my friend for a meal walked in and the atmosphere felt unwelcome I ordered a glass of coke and the lady behind the bar rudely asked for my ID just for a glass of Coke she rudely said even if you was ordering a glass of water you still get ID we was going to order food but as she made us feel unwelcome we left and went elsewhere also my glass of Coke was flat no ice she dint even ask and only filled it up quarter way
