Went for lunch today, the food and service was really good, I had the Sausages and Mash which was delicious. Really good kids menu options, and the kids food must have been good as they ate all of it, which doesn't happen very often. Will definitely go back ?

Clean and tidy room, good location and food was excellent. Steak was cooked perfectly with pudding of chocolate heaven in the shape of a brownie with a hot chocolate

Food & drinks: We had a sunday lunch it was awful the meat was very tough the vegetables were pathetic 2small pieces of carrot ? the same for parsnip the meal was cold and not very inviting the only reason we ate it it cost £30 and we where hungry there was another couple on the next table and the said the same thing I would certainly wouldn't recommend the place February 18 2024

We called in here on a weekday lunchtime, and there was a good choice of food available. The meals were good but we had quite a wait for the food to arrive and there seemed to be only one person waiting on the tables. When we left, we asked for the bill and then had to wait 10 minutes for someone to appear to take payment. No apology for keeping us waiting. Needless to say, we didn't leave a tip!

Comfortable clean room which was a good size. It was very warm when we entered but that of course was easily remedied. The accommodation and the evening meal was reasonably priced, drinks were more expensive than I am use to but perhaps it was the norm for this area. Over all I would definitely recommend hunters hall.Noteworthy details: Situated in pleasant location with plenty of parking

Just got back having spent the last 4 nights at Hunters Hall, staff were fab, couldn't do enough for us, food was very good and Doug the manager couldn't do enough for everyone brilliant at his job,highly recommend. Gill & Steve (South Wales).

Friendly staff, good beer, clean and warm rooms. Good breakfast selection and decent coffee. Overall a good place to spend the night.The pub and bar are in good condition and show the historical atmosphere of the building well.

Dinner yesterday. Room was freezing. NO radiators were on and log fire not lit. Service was poor. Staff were disappearing so waiting or looking for them. No cutlery given until asked for. Sharing starter for two was OK but very small portion with two onion rings, two button mushrooms, 4 chicken strips, 3 pieces of bread and the baked cheese. Fish and chips portion small, really hot so that was the good part but what fish was it? tasteless except for an earthy aftertaste. Like old frozen fish. No one asked if the meal was OK (it was not). Have eaten here before when they were busy and service was better.Response to owner.My partner tried to turn the radiator up as it was stone cold. However the control was already on highest so either the radiator is broken or none of the heating was on!He therefore went to our car to get my coat!It is actually incredibily offensive and worrying for you to suggest that someone had taken food from the starter after it left the kitchen. It definately was not there when we received the plate. So what are you alledgeing ? Other people actually left as fed up with looking for staff. Woman staff member stitching by bar asked them to wait but they left in disgust.Food & drinks: Not good or value for money.
