I worked on the purchase of two different homes with Sophie from the Thornbury branch of Milburys. Once in 2022 and once in 2025. The first was successful and the second fell through at the survey stage. In both cases Sophie was an exemplar for communications, time management, and for getting-things-done-in-general. While I have zero choice about estate agent when buying, they remain my first choice for selling.

When you are looking for rental property, Kaela has been reacting quickly, a rental property in Thornbury was secured in 3 weeks time.
Unfortunately, When you move out at end of contract, Milburys turn into ?Landloard protection? mode, they basically say on to everything to you suggest. totally not helpful at all. Moving out with Milburys is horrible

I've been renting through Milburys for just under 5 years, and I highly recommend their services. The whole process from viewing right through to check out has been seamless due to the level of organisation, attention to detail, and communication. All maintenance was dealt with in a fair and timely manner.
Simon was my contact/letting agent and he consistently went over and above for me. This was especially appreciated as a single woman renting alone because anytime I was unsure or needed help, Simon was only a message away and always happy to help. Easily the most personable, trustworthy, and fair agent I've worked with which goes a long way! And there were no unfair bills or surprises after check out which ended the perfect tenancy.

Do not rent with this agent, they come across as a quaint little town agent but are vicious and vindictive.
They perform revenge section 21 evictions for reporting maintenance issues during rent rise negotiations
They provide false and misleading information to the DPS causing tenants to lose substantial amounts of deposit
They provide false data to South Glos council for tenancy end dates to cause council tax overpayment.
They fail to respond to complaints in a timely manner, fail to provide details of their ombudsman service
They behave in an absolutely outrageous way when things don?t go their way and their tenants push back %15 rent rises.
