If you're looking for a quick bite to eat (excellent pub grub/comfort food) at a very competitive price, this is recommended.

Sandra was amazing, great customer service, she was attentive, cleaned up after the mess we made and looked after us!

Went for breakfast it was served lukewarm and when I made my comment about it I was told basically it's not really our problem we try to get it out as fast as possible wow.... I work in the hotel industry and that is a shocking response. Very nice location but service is very poor I will not eat there again I will have to find somewhere new to eat in Tewkesbury for my Sunday breakfast....

Great staff. Great service. Very reasonable. The beer is top notch, and the food is good, especially the curry!

Stayed just the one night and not a regular "hotelite". Wow, what more could you want for a business stay over......room etc all perfect, Bit of atmosphere as you arrive to check in unlike a Premier Inn which is like entering the twilight zone. Bestest bestest bit was the young lady on reception (to my shame I never got her name......but on duty Tuesday evening 31st October). She was welcoming, cheery, helpful, absolutely 1st class. Wetherspoons.......give her the rest of the year off, either that or double her salary.?.

Delightful premises stopped in Tewkesbury on route with coach holiday - had breakfast snack and several capachinos for less than £4. Staff attentive and helpful. Not used to Weather spoons but this place was very good. Very large spacious premises. Vast variety on menus for any time of day and size of appetite.

Food was good, standard pub grub. Service slow and had to remind staff that we ordered sides with our meal. Atmosphere good, one lady with glasses and dark hair was lovely, but the girl who served waited aprox 1 minute and then came back asked if our meal was OK, I would have preferred to take a bite first to give a opinion.

Great looking Wetherspoons, a fairly large Tudor (?) Building which is also a hotel & has a long garden for those warm summer days which stretches right down to the river Avon . The food is the usual ' Spoons ' standard & there is usually a decent choice of ales on tap. Plenty of seats inside although it can get very busy .Free WiFi & only assistance dogs allowed in both pub & garden like all Spoons ?Vegetarian options: A fair few Vegetarian options & a few Vegan choices, too .

I stayed here, as a lone female, and booked a single room.I was pleasantly surprised to find that the room was of a good size, as was the bed.The bedding was crisp and clean, and the towels were large, white and fluffy - much better than many posher hotels than I've stayed in.The hospitality tray was full of tea, coffee and hot chocolate, and had plenty of milk and sugar, plus biscuits and bottled water. There was a hairdryer, an iron with ironing board, and plenty of hangers in the wardrobe. It was convenient to pop downstairs for dinner and breakfast.During the evening the bar was very busy and I struggled to find a table, but once seated, I ordered on the app and my meal came quickly. The staff were obviously busy, but the service was first class.I haven't stopped praising the whole experience to my friends.Well done the Royal Hop Pole.

What can I say. Snobs will be snobs about mainstream pub food because it's not freshly prepared from scratch, etc, but I've always enjoyed eating at the Royal Hop Pole. It's a nice pub, with friendly staff and a good selection of tasty affordable food. I've never had a bad meal here.
