Living in Teddington village we were keen to see if the refurbished pub was any good. Sadly despite how nice the place looked we were very disappointed. There was only one very weak real ale for my husband so he drank wine. The teddyburger came without onion rings which would have been £2.00 a portion if ordered seperately so did not want to miss out. They arrived after a while and were worth the wait. I then found paper in my food and thought it was the greaseproof from between the burgers but it was all over the plate with all the food on top. The pulled pork and cheese burger topping was good but the burger itself was awful. The mayo on the coleslaw was like water. My husbands eggs were over cooked and almost burnt on the bottom. Our excellent server listen to my complaints and went to tell the chef, and here is my main gripe, it was obvious from the reply that the chef could not have cared less. She appear quite embarrassed. I appreciate that because they were no busy they didn't put a decent beer on, but with the attitude we received they never will be busy. We will certainly tell other locals not to bother so they are missing out on a good trade.

Had a really lovely meal tonight , good food, good friendly service . Plenty of space between tables and clean. Good value for money .

Carvery was lovely, and staff were very helpful. Due to being very warm, the building was very stuffy?no air flow. It made our experience not 5 star but still very good.

My friend treated me to a mid-week carvery here and we were not disappointed. We were met by really friendly and polite staff. The carvery was delicious, the best beef and turkey I've eaten in a long time - both meats melted in the mouth! The choice of vegetables was great, all cooked perfectly! Again, the staff were friendly and helpful, attentive enough to make sure we were ok but gave us plenty of time to chat and catch up without being interrupted. Will definitely visit again soon!

I ate here with 2 family members for lunch recently. The Teddington Hands has been through a number of new owners over the last few years so I was interested to see how it was now. The bar and restaurant have been updated and are nicer than they have been in years. We ordered a ciabatta each for lunch. The restaurant wasn't too busy, and there seemed to be an adequate number of staff. However, we waited for 45 minutes for our food. There was no apology for the wait. I had the BLT, which was the driest sandwich I've had in a while, with a measly amount of filling. There was no checkback to make sure we were happy with our order. Overall, it was a disappointing visit, and I won't be returning.

Called in for supper and totally delighted with everything. The manager Dionne Marie was the best host and made our evening. The food and drink was exceptional. Shout out to the chef who usually goes unthanked! Would certainly recommend you visit this pub.

We decided to go here and try it as we like a carvery and very few places these days do fresh veg. The place was absolutely heaving. But the staff who were coping amazingly well , were all polite, efficient and quick to serve. We found our table and ordered ( as was required ) at the bar. The drinks were quickly served and we joined the queue for the carvery. This moved quickly and the meat portion was generous and there was a good range of vegetables fresh and quickly topped up when needed. You could have two sizes a normal or a large. We opted for the normal which was plenty. We rested a bit between course and some of us decided to have a sweet. The young man serving the sweets I think must have been new ( or overwhelmed) as it took about 30 minutes for the puddings to come. I noticed others asking about a delay but then they came they were very nicely presented and tasty. We will certainly be returning soon as we don?t live too far away. I couldn?t see a price for the carvery and it?s not on the website but i noticed they now do Wednesdays as well and Sunday. We paid just over £38 for two carverys and two pint cider shandys so I?m assuming it?s around the 14.50 mark. Dearer than our usual carvery but much much better.

If you are looking for a country pub that is a working example of "average" (not something you are going to complain about and not something you are going to recommend) try this out. The grub was perfectly average, The service was average, The beer was probably below average but again not worth complaining about. It was however busy so maybe I'm just jaded or maybe if I ordered a different meal I would have loved it so please remember that this is just my opinion.

My friend and I decided to give the teddy a visit now that it had re-opened The staff were very friendly , and the food was outstanding my friend ordered the Teddy burger and struggled to finish it , and said that it was excellent. I had the chicken and bacon salad and it was probably the best salad that I?ve ever had ( I don?t usually like salad) I loved it . I wish the management and staff every success , you deserve it

We have just got back from having an evening meal with a couple of friends. And what a pleasant evening it was! The food (all 4 of us chose the carvery) was absolutely lovely, but the staff, well what can I say. From the moment we stepped in they were so welcoming and extremely courteous and polite. That is what struck us most about the evening. We dealt with 4 staff members, two ladies who were front of house, the chef, and a young man serving the desserts. Each one was so polite, it really did make the evening. The carvery was very good quality, with plenty of selection of vegetables. The chef was very generous with the meat portions too. The pork was cooked to perfection! Summary - fully recommend The Teddington Hands Inn, and look forward to our next visit, which I'm sure won't be too far in the future. Thank you to all the staff on shift tonight.
