A lovely room, spotlessly clean, nice friendly people, great food, wonderful views. A really super place for a getaway night or weekend.
Rooms: 3 rooms in the roof space above the old pub. Some low old oak beams to keep you alert, but otherwise faultless.
Walkability: Top of the hill, so if you go out on foot, you've got to climb back up at the end of the night.
Food & drinks: Excellent breakfast, spot on.
Noteworthy details: Pub/restaurant closed on Monday nights

I stayed here last night and I loved it.
The room is great and clean. The bed was amazing and I did not want to get up.
My evening meal last night was fantastic and breakfast this morning was delicious.
I would happily stay here again. Thank you for an amazing stay.

Last minute Sunday lunch was a hit! All the food was perfectly cooked and so tasty. Broccoli veloute and pork crackiling were some of the favourites.We had annoying dogs and kids and the staff were very kind and attentive and didn?t seem to mind.

My husbands birthday treat was a stay at The Bell. It did not disappoint.
Chef Mark cooked beautiful hand dived Orkney scallops, slow roast shoulder of lamb with an amazing gravy, and creme brulee to finish.
We cannot praise it highly enough. Gosh it was amazing- this man knows how to cook and how to deliver tasty, satisfying food. It looked good, smelled good and, oh my God, it tasted good.
Thank you for making the experience all it needed to be.
It would have been nice to meet Mr and Mrs Chef, but I'm sure we will be back.

Well appointed small hotel with wonderful staff.
Lovely small hotel with wonderful owners. We stayed at the Bell last year, but this was one of the most memorable of the dozens of lodging facilities that we visited.

Food & drinks: We had dinner at The Bell in August when we stayed nearby. The food was superb and the service was really good. I recommend the fish. It was really good.

A favourite place of ours. Good service, lovely wine and olives, and the price is reasonable considering many other places. A lovely feeling in being there overall.
